One of the longest running franchises in video game history, Madden NFL has become a national phenomenon. Despite a nearly two decade career, Madden NFL 08 still has the impact of a 300-pound lineman. More realistic gameplay includes players making one-handed catches, hurdles, gang tackles, and sideline catches and mid-air collisions and choosing whether to hit high or low. Branching animation also allows you to execute a new maneuver without being locked into the previous move. The new fatigue system keeps quarterbacks from being able to scramble behind the line on every play as well as affecting the performance of cold-weather teams when they are playing in hot weather during the early part of the season.
The graphics and animation are truly next-gen as players with high ratings will perform better. This "weapons" system will allow your players to be able to read the opponent's plays and avoid tackles or intercept a pass. Madden NFL 08 lets you play deep or just be casual. While the Finance mode lets you deeply manage the economic flow and development of your team over several years including recruiting and building a new stadium, Fantasy Challenge lets you build your own team and earn skill points.
Import your superstar from NCAA 08 and add them to your professional team's roster. Your friends won't have to sit on the sidelines as co-op play returns with the ability to team up with another local player and take on the computer or up to two other local players. Or, go one on one online. Are you ready for some football?
Pros: Amazing graphical different from PS2 to PS3!
Cons: Runs at only 30fps vs the XBOX 360 version that runs a 60fps.
Other Thoughts: The fact that it runs slower than the 360 is somewhat disappointing. However, still a great game. As soon as designers spend the correct amount of time utilizing all of the PS3's power, games will be superior to 360.

EA actually made a good game!
Pros: Very realistic gameplay, best from any football game ever made, fast-paced, you can't just lob it up and score, you have to be smart about it.
Cons: The game only runs at 30 fps versus 60fps on 360, there's no reason EA shouldn't take more time to develop a better ps3 version, so I give it 4 stars, it's still pretty smooth, but it does lag in some areas.
Other Thoughts: If you want a good football game, don't hesitate to buy madden 08 for ps3, 30 fps shouldn't stop you, it's definitely worth $60,
