FIFA 13 delivers the largest and deepest feature set in the history of the franchise. Five game-changing innovations create a true battle for possession, deliver freedom and creativity in attack, and capture all the drama and unpredictability of real-world football.

  • newegg Attacking Intelligence All-new positioning intelligence wires attacking players with the intelligence to analyze plays, and to position themselves to create new attacking opportunities.
  • newegg FIFA 13 Complete Dribbling Make every touch matter with the control to be more creative in attack, and the freedom to exploit 1v1 opportunities.
  • newegg FIFA 13 1st Touch Control A new trapping system eliminates near-perfect control for every player by creating uncertainty around trapping.
  • newegg Player Impact Engine The second generation of the award-winning physics engine expands physical play from collisions for the ball to off-the-ball battles, giving defenders more tools to win back possession.
  • newegg Tactical Free Kicks Create dangerous and unpredictable free kicks utilizing the most skillful players on the pitch. Position up to three attacking players over the ball and confuse opponents with dummy runs, more passing options, and more elaborate free kicks.
  • newegg New Passes Two new passing options give players the ability to dink passes over the outstretched leg of a defender or loft through balls to teammates.

2 out of 5 eggsThey got some things right...

Pros: Career mode, onlline features and unlockables

Cons: - Basically the same features as FIFA 07
- Refs sometimes wear the same color as your team or opponent. Terrible officiating in some games. REALLY Terrible! Obstruction or fouls called on defenders that are last man most likely will never be red cards, but an opposing players that runs into your defender in the box are fair game for red cards.
- Every opposing player that has the ability to pull multiple fundamental cuts to get around your defenders
- Let's not talk about offsides...
-Can't customize jerseys, seems easy enough to integrate into career mode (modifying jerseys every career season would be nice!).
- How many defenders do you know that get beaten and magically recover 5 yards to win the ball back? I'd expect a few amazing defenders to pull that off (Puyol, Cannavaro). In this game every defender has that ability...
- The interface needs to be updated big time! I'm pretty sure that's where this game glitches the most.
-Someone commented that players make good offensive runs, I think diagonal runs towards the corner flag on a counter attack is not a good run.

There's much more... don't want to spoil the game for you though

Other Thoughts: I wonder what the programmers do on their spare time.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: good graphic

Cons: I've played FIFA Soccer online for about 2 years and I have more wins than loses. If you play long enough, you'd know this game plays you, you don't play the game. It decides which game you will win or lose and it's very predictable. If you're to lose, doesn't matter what you do, there's always stupid things make you lose. Also, the pathetic first 5 minutes and the 45th and 90th minutes dramatic in the game that can make you either win or lose too... One more thing, the referee sometime wears the same color uniform from one the the teams, as well we sometime too teams wear the same color uniform like white or black... EA doesn't know how to make a conditional statement so that 2 teams or the referee won't be wearing the same color.

Other Thoughts: I highly suggest NOT to buy this game and even the next FIFA game as they're all the same. You'll regret. Why pay for the game that is not based on your skills but it's based on the "mood" of the game and those who programmed it? The game is programmed that way to make players keep playing.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: smart game play.
smart attacking and defending system.
highlighted online matches.
many different game modes.
best of all football (soccer) game yet.

Cons: EA server is extremely awful.
FIFA ultimate team constantly disconnected.
online matches constantly lose connection.
clubs and players are not up to date.

Other Thoughts: this is my first FIFA, i have been a long term Winning Eleven supporter (PES), but ever since they stopped improving and got left behind by FIFA two years ago, i've had it.
however, it is not all that great here too. you still get those non-sense long shoot goals and last minute headers, one can argue that it is like real like, but when you can see it, and try to stop the other team to score, yet your defenders or goalkeeper don't response to your comments at all. it drives you crazy.
i'm not sure about next year, PES or FIFA, but this game is alright, a bit better than PES 13.
