There's trouble in the city of Rockport – and you're in the center of it. No sooner have you arrived but your are pursued by a relentless police sergeant and your perfectly maxed BMW M3 is now in the hands of a rival named Razor who sabotaged it in order to win it. Razor is on the bottom of the "Blacklist" – the group of racers who control the street racing scene in Rockport – and he's using your car to rise to the top.

The only way to get it back is to climb up after him. And, all the while, the cops are looking to shut down the underground racing and put you away. Earn the right to challenge your competition by winning smaller races as well as increasing the price on your head by evading the law as you take on all comers within the open city environment.

In addition to the story mode you can jump into a race – or a pursuit – for some quick driving action or take on 68 progressively tougher challenges in Challenge mode. Unique to the PSP is the ability to get on the right side of the law in the Be the Cop mode. Earn upgrades and cash while evading the law. Lay low in safe houses and hiding spots scattered throughout the city. The more the heat is on you, the more assets are sent after you including spike strips, helicopters, roadblocks and even police SUV's and Corvette interceptors. Customize your car for maximum performance – and to change its appearance in order to lower your heat level. Over 30 licensed cars will have you feeling the need – the need for speed.

3 out of 5 eggsBlah!

Comments: I've played half way through the game (yes I'm ranked 7th on the list) and I defintely feel NFS Rivals was better. There was more variety as far as game play - I haven't had a drag race yet!!! Performance upgrades are about 4 stages and visual upgrades are severely stripped down. To work your way up the list, you have to complete 4 races before you meet the next numbered blacklisted name. So you start unranked, you do four races, you meet number 15, you win, you do four more races, you meet number 14, you win, repeat... If you don't have any racers for your PSP then keep looking - this will only turn off your ignition

3 out of 5 eggsIts OK.

Comments: Its OK. Not anything special really. It feels identical to the last NFS for PSP in controls.
The graphics are a little bit better. It has great motion blur! That's pretty cool. The frame rate is definitely up. Load times are low and not frequent. It has that cool slo-mo from Midnight Club DUB
The audio tracks are crisp, CD quality techno, hip hop and rock tracks. Nice race tracks, really hot cars. It has exotics and rice.
The biggest surprise are that the cops are really intelligent and challenging. More challenging than the cops in NFS: HP2 for XBOX.

The online mode is stupid because
it only works with WEP, not WPA.
I use WPA for various wireless devices and won't change to that complicated insecure WEP, so no online for me!

Its a fun game, just not all I expected it to be.
