Jak's spunky ottsel sidekick is ready to step out of the shadows and star in his own game. Set between the events of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy and Jak II, this platformer game lets you control the weasel-otter mix as he takes odd jobs around Haven City while trying to free Jak from his imprisonment by the Krimson Guard. As a part-time pest exterminator, Daxter is equipped with an electro-swatter and a tank of bug spray which can also serve as a jet-pack.
Daxter takes on his missions with the same irreverent humor shown in the trilogy. The levels are packed with gameplay as you can collect Metal Bug gems and precursor orbs along the way, or return after completing the mission to hunt for hidden items. Unlockable mini-games parody the Lord of the Rings, Matrix and other action movies. Vehicles and dream sequence levels also add to the variety.
The game stays true to its trilogy roots with the same level of animation and graphics as seen on the PS2 games in the series with developers having enhanced Daxter's moves to take advantage of his animal nature. Travel in, under and through a cannery, mines, a distillery, forest and other environments where "normal-sized" objects can become obstacles for the small ottsel. The audio has also not been overlooked with impressive sound effects for everything from the electronic flyswatter to the sound of Daxter running in metal air ducts. A multi-player mini-game, Bug Combat, lets you take on an opponent by pitting bugs that you've collected in the course of your game against each other for addictive play.

Very fun!!
- Pros: This game is a lot of fun to play! The graphics are excellent it's definitely the best i've seen on the psp. Good voice, funny cutscenes. Get it!

pretty good game
- Pros: has great graphics and great sound (with headphones) it also has a pretty good storyline.
- Cons: it wasnt much of a challenge to beat. i beat in in a few days.
- Other Thoughts: your eyes will be stuck to the psp screen until the end. after that, it will be on your shelf collecting dust
