Borderlands Playstation3 Game, Greatest Hit Edition 2K

Pros: Diablo-style weapon generator, post-apocalyptic setting. Surprisingly good use of the Unreal Engine.

Cons: Kinda glitchy though rarely unplayable. Bad guys are kinda repetitive, though there is surprisingly a good amount of variations of them (like the weapon generator) but you don't really notice much change unless you're paying attention. Rarely use any tactics other than charge and shoot

Other Thoughts: I found this game to be extremely fun, and entertaining. It could have had a few more classes and a little more variations in the guns, but it's their first attempt. As to people saying it's a ripoff of Fallout.. they're just seeing the fact that the story talks about "a Vault" and it's set in a post-apocalyptic-like setting... however the vault is NOT like fallout, and it's a desert planet, not post-apocalypse. It has gameplay a bit like RAGE, which IS similar to Fallout3+, but the controls are much more like Call of Duty.

The actual mechanics of the game are very Diablo like... random generators, a skill tree based on your class with 1 skill every level. Could have used more skills.

The 2-player rules are VERY nice. All players get equal money (not split), and almost equal experience (100%/95%) so you wont find it too hard to stay in the same level despite how you divide your duties.

After you beat it, you can play a second time through (to get to the level max) so if you plan to do it, may I suggest skipping some of the side missions and hurrying through your first pass.

Pros: It was cheap to buy.

Cons: Where do I begin? The game play is beyond tedious and leveling up does nothing to enhance game play. Seriously, it's totally pointless. The enemies are boring and consist of the same bad guys and "Skags", which are wild dogs, that's it.

Other Thoughts: The re-spawn rate for enemies is ridiculously fast. Within minutes of clearing out a section it will repopulate with boring and tedious and annoying enemies that you have to kill over again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again.

And, as stated earlier these enemies consist solely of humans or "skags" (dogs), that's it. There is no variety to the enemies at all. Plus your ability to kill them doesn't increased with leveling up. I'm at level 19 and have completed countless missions yet every single time I leave Fyrestone I have to deal with the same waves of boring shooters and dogs. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

And the boss fights aren't that great. You always have to fight tons and tons of the same boring enemies just to reach the bosses. Then you get a boring fight with them and once done you have to fight your way out of their lair against the same boring enemies you just fought to get in there.

As for the weapons, they suck donkey balls. Really, they do. Leveling up does squat when it comes to upgrading the weapons. And when you do find some supposedly super cool weapon, and reach the level to use it, it is beyond weak and takes just as long to kill enemies as all your other weapons do.

Again, the weapons just suck, they really do. Even at level 19 it's rare to kill an enemy with just one shot using ANY weapon.

This game is a really bad and poorly designed rip off of Fallout 3. If you haven't played that game I strongly suggest you do and skip this one. If you have played Fallout 3 and are looking for more of the same type of game play I strongly suggest you skip this one as you'll just be disappointed. It's a huge clunker.

Pros: Fun. Fun. Fun.

Cons: Silly lag and framerate drops during coop or multiplayer. There is a serious framerate drop while playing split screen.

Other Thoughts: I've played through the regular game and all four DLC's (including Claptrap) on single player and coop. This game is fun. I can't say enough about it originality and fun experience. The characters and story is hilarious. the expansions are hilarious as well, probably more so.

Pros: -Great Story
-Nice graphics
-FPS/RPG Combo SEXY!
-Co-op throughout entire campaign!
-DLCs are great, raised level cap, awesome weapons, zombies.. fun.
-Sexy weapons! So maaany!

Cons: -Should last longer..
-DLC should be cheaper or make a GOTY edition/Gold edition with included DLCs.

Other Thoughts: It's a great game, single player or multiplayer. I enjoy co-op though, it's a great couch-coop as well as online coop. Must buy at half price now if you love coop like I do.

Pros: GREAT GAME KINDA LIKE FALLOUT3 MORE COMIC BOOK GOOD WEAPONS AND BATTLES KINDA LIKE BIOSHOCK/FALLOUT WOULD RECOMMEND

Other Thoughts: PURCH FROM NEWEGG QUICK ORDER TIME GREAT PRICE

Pros: Really cool looking/sounding/playing. Great fun online. Zombie Island DLC is awesome. Shoot, punch and loot. Good sense of humor.

Cons: some more robust features of a MMO like WoW would be cool, more areas would be nice though game is already large.

Pros: I think this game is great. It is my newest addiction. There are so many weapons, a solid story, HUUUUGE maps, and plenty of replay value. I'm on my second play though now. I love the little pop culture references.

Cons: I would love to give this game 5 eggs, but I'm incredibly disappointed with the local co-opt play. Playing online is great and fun, but as it stands, there is no way to play locally with more than one profile split screen. With Xbox360 and several other PS3 games being able to handle this feature, I would thing a great game like this could to. That's my only beef with this Borderlands.

Other Thoughts: if they can patch the co-opt problem, then this game is a must have for every PS3 owner.

Pros: wow, this is way more then expected. insane graphics on 1080p. to many guns. ha ha NOT. each gun has a different manufacturer that will determine many various things... reload time, fire rate, mag size, type of rounds, accuracy, and many other things. when someone else joins an online game the creatures become harder to kill, in turn dropping better loot and gaining more XP. Never lags online when i host with DSL. not a game for little kids. very challenging to kill something with a few more levels than you but reward is great. would love to see more from this company soon!!!

Cons: NONE at all. more than what i expected.

Other Thoughts: there is no mission glitches with finding items in the game. the mission marker wasn't quite where it is supposed to be for 2 of the missions but was in the general area.

Pros: Incredible game. Amazing replay value.

Cons: No online play while in splitscreen, not a big deal though.

Pros: Its a fun game to play with friends on the PS3 network.

Cons: PS3 network might be at fault but its laggy as hell too often.
