Borderlands is an original First Person Role Playing Shooter that combines the intuitive reward system of action role playing games and the frantic-paced shooting combat of first person shooters. Co-op Design Borderlands is built from the ground up to be an exciting, intuitive co-operative multiplayer experience that rewards players for investing in specific co-op skills. Split screen is also supported.

Cons: It's an FPS with mild RPG elements, if that's not your style... Other Thoughts: The review by Khaz661 leaves me confused. The DLC that comes with this game is one time use and downloaded...just like if you had bought the DLC seperately. Khaz suggests buying the game for $30 and then spending $40 total on the DLC. That's $70 total. The GOTY edition is $54 and comes with the basic game on disc ($30 value, identical to the non-GOTY edition) and a redemption code for all four DLC packs ($40 value, and, again, identical to how you would have ownership rights to the DLC if you had purchased and it seperately). And that's $54 total. I'm confused as to why Khaz thinks paying $70 for the exact same thing you get in the GOTY edition for $16 less is a good idea and feels the need to warn people not to make the mistake of saving that money. If you don't think you're going to want the DLC, I'd suggest buying the standard version of the game (and doing so elsewhere where you can find it for $20 new as of this writing). Pros: Alot of guns, alot of action and alot of options Cons: All the add-on content is single-use only, meaning it does not come with the disc and can only be downloaded once (hope you dont ever lose your data). Other Thoughts: If your gonna buy this game, buy the regular Borderlands running for $29.99 here on newegg, and just download the stuff seperately.
