The realistically rendered and lit environments are full of areas where the sun breaks through the trees as well as plenty of shadows which change dynamically as you move through the area. Your enemies take full advantage of the shadows to ambush you. Not all of your enemies will be lurking in the underbrush, however, as you'll be called upon to man a machine gun to repel banzai charges or operate a quad-.50 anti-aircraft turret to take on low-flying Zeros along the hard road to Tokyo.
