Call of Duty: World At War Playstation3 Game Activision

Pros: Not a bad game, I normally do not care for Call of Duty. The zombie mode is fun.

Cons: none

Pros: Great graphics and solid game mechanics. WWII makes for a compelling shooter setting. The creative direction is first-rate, the environments really looks and feel like the places they're supposed to represent.

Cons: Throwaway narrative full of boderline-stupid Hollywood stereotype characters (this almost gets comical at times) and disjointed missions. First-person gameplay is extremely tedious on the harder settings.

Other Thoughts: This isn't a bad game, but I'm really glad I played the excellent CoD4 Modern Warfare and the outstanding Modern Warfare 2 first, because this one is "OK" at best. I honestly don't think I would have bothered buying Modern Warfare 1+2 games (which turned out to my favorite shooters in years) based on this very mediocre installment in the franchise. The graphics and overall look of it is first rate, and the game mechanics are really solid, as with all the CoD4-based games. But man is this single player game tedious. The checkpoints are way too far apart, and there's way too many spots where you walk around a corner and get killed immediately, only to have to repeat the last 5 minutes of gameplay again. The maps run you around generally very narrow courses, and lack the design finesse of the Modern Warfare maps which at least feel open, even if they really aren't. Overall this is a pretty poor showing for the single-player game, which is unfortunately, because man does it look great.

Pros: Beat the campaign, that was pretty cool. Graphics are good for it's time. Lot's of action online. Na-zi Zombies was fun the first 10 times I played it.

Cons: Gets old fast. The online maps are too small for any type of strategy. Run and gun. That's it. Nothing else. The kill streak abilities they give you swing the game too far. Calling out the dogs or air strikes rack up huge amounts of kills and before you know it the match is over.

Other Thoughts: I got to like level 24 in online play and got bored. I play Battlefield Bad Company 2 instead. Huge maps, squad tactics, more vehicles and simply more true to combat experience. The Call of Duty series (I own Modern Warfare also) online play is just too limited in my opinion. No skill involved.

Pros: Fun Game. Love NZ on Der Rieze

set it to zero so you do not have to listen to all the trash talk,, profanity, threats, etc.

Cons: sony, treyarch and activision should be ashamed to have their names associated with the online play version. there is no attempt to police the profanity and verbal abuse, threats of violence, and cheating during online gaming. did i say anything about the online cheating? It is horrible. look on you tube and for twenty clams you can get an add on to see through walls with unlimited ammo. sony appears impotent to fix it. Around one in four matches ends early due to lag switchers, players that do not know how to cheat properly... LOL!
(search LAG and COD cheats on youtube +200.000 hits!)

Other Thoughts: If this were my product I would actually pay people to monitor the online games and report cheaters and other profane players. Start banning for life all users for all sexually explicit, threatening, profane, and biased against origin or belief.

Pros: I have played several COD games and this one is my favorite. Playing through the game was very fun, like the other COD games in my opinion. However upon completing the game a new level is unlocked, Nacht der Untoten. It took me by suprise and now I play as much as I can.

Cons: I don't think this is a con, but I read a review by someone complaining about having to buy the other 3 levels. How is this a con? It actually extends the game! And perhaps that reviewer bought thier 3 new levels at 10bucks ea. but I got them for half price from the Playstation store early on- all 3 for only 15bucks. And thats 3 more Zombie Maps!!!

Other Thoughts: Great game, I would recomend it to anyone. The only thing I don't like is the language on one of the Zombie maps. It's quite vulgar but you can simply turn the voice down or off.

Pros: Great game for online play. I originally purchased this a couple months ago and ordered if from newegg for my friend to play online. The game works great and is highly addictive.

Cons: Cannot play online with multiple people on one system. :-(

Pros: All around one of the best FPS game out to date, the greatest thing about WaW that it has over its other console FPS games is that it allows you to completely turn out aim assist(sticky aim) in multiplayer. That is rare when they give you the option to turn that annoying feature off on console and it has helped my accuracy by 12%

Cons: Some people might not like the tanks but i enjoy them from time to time.

Pros: Arrived on time and no issues.
