- Pros: I was glad to play as the Hulk (hilarious is the fact that Hulk & Thing can use an enemy like a rag doll and beat other enemies over the head like no tomorrow) finally in this game title as well as new additions like Venom, Songbird, & Green Goblin. Fusion Attacks are EXTREMELY helpful in an ambush and if you have 1 Fusion Star available u can use it to rescue a downed teammate instead of putting up a ton of SHIELD credits like its predeccesor. Like the new "boost medal" system where you can use up to 3 medals (i.e. 10% chance to set enemy on fire, 5% critcal strike, 10% damage dealt becomes health) to upgrade your characters. Certain characters with telekinesis (Psylocke, Jean Grey, Invisible Woman) you just hold down the O button to activate and it doesnt touch your energy bar. More room to use most of your powers now. Final Boss (you play the game to find out who, it's a surprise) has awesome attacks and puts up a real good fight. You can use him as well when you beat the game.
- Cons: Load screens are basically silouhettes of characters now instead of hand drawing it out in detail. Fusion Attacks are a little repetitive (i. e. Wolverine has fast-ball specials with Luke Cage, Thing, and Hulk; I thought i would some uniqueness per character) Graphics looked a little off the wall like PS1(big dudes like Hulk & Thing's upper bodies were like much much bigger than the lower part, Venom has toes ???) certain characters like Iron Fist i was hoping to use is on the XBox & PS3 versions
- Other Thoughts: Basically harrassed Gamestop because it was on reserve and had a week's delay involved. Finally got, played, and enjoyed it...til i played the PS3 version at a friend's house. Afterwards I went to order that version when I got the Slim. Big difference though between versions (i.e. Storm's tornado in PSP v.s. thrusting both hands forward and blowing enemies & vending machines into the next dimension for PS3; Luke Cage's Power Punch PSP vs. Multiple Jabs PS3 and a mean Chain Strike over the head.) Which one's better you ask? You decide....

The Marvel Universe is being torn apart. The Superhuman Registration Act becomes law and Super Heroes must register as weapons of mass destruction, becoming licensed government agents. As Civil War is stirred, Iron Man leads the Pro-Registration side while Captain America spearheads the stand on Anti-Registration. The enemies you battle and the missions you accomplish depend on which side you choose. |
