Blur Playstation3 Game Activision

Pros: Fast action. It's like Mario kart meets need for speed!! It's just plain fun!! It's u hate need for speed the run u will love this!!

Cons: Wish I could play more!!

Pros: Multiplayer racing action, lots of tracks, large selection of cars, interesting art style

Cons: the game gets repetitive fast. it has a stable of boring one trick pony races. for some reason, they wanted to put 20 racers on the track, but I think the game suffers for it. Instead of that, they should have put more effort into their level design and gameplay. Also, the trailers and intro movie show cool slow-mo modes when action is happening, sparks flying everywhere, cars flippin upside down and stuff... none of which happens in the real game. I mean, cars do flip, but there's not really any cool effects. Physics are also too cartoony.

Other Thoughts: To sum it up: Mariokart clone with moderately fancy graphics. I expected more.

Pros: Good graphics and frame rate...very smooth and fluid regardless of what's happening on screen. Can't emphasize this enough...this game is FUN, FUN, FUN!!! Think Twisted Metal meets Wipeout XL with some PGR thrown in for good measure.

Cons: None really...game has a decent difficulty that ramps up quickly and fairly...as with all racing games though the best cars are not available until the end when you don't get too much chance to use them until you're done...although a Koenigsegg becomes accessible early on, you can only use it on certain levels.

Other Thoughts: Just a fantastic game...too bad Bizarre just went out of business...no more PGR or Blur sequels.

Pros: Unbelievably fun. This game for what it is.. I give it a 10/10. Haven't had this much fun with a game in years. Constant laughs and ya feel good when you win. The AI is brutal so its nice to lose ya feel good just for making it in 3rd sometimes.

Cons: The game failed. Yet online is still there and a lot of people still play.

Other Thoughts: Shame this game wasnt a commercial success cause is love to see a blur 2.$20 this is a steal

Pros: Great graphics, great controls. The game plays well, the car choice is very varied.
sending challenges to your friends to beat is a blast.
The multiplayer is the best part of this game, up to 20 racer races are awsome.

Cons: Multiplayer needs to be set to a better level. level 2 players should not have to content with level 40 players.

Other Thoughts: Bluris one of the best racers to be released in the past 5 years.
GREAT GAME.

Pros: Online play is a blast. The physics is forgiving enough you can use the items. XP mechanism is decent. Has single-player (although I didn't play it.)

Cons: The Blur multiplayer demo was pulled from the PS3 store around the time people were having problems getting into multiplayer--"could not connect to Blur servers." I really liked the demo and it worked well; I bought the game, figuring the retail servers were up and reachable. Nope. I returned the game, disappointed.

Other Thoughts: There are several exhaustive lists of things to try to get Blur on PS3 multiplayer working. They might work for you. They range from "open these ports" (uh, I don't think you need port 80 UDP) to "give the PS3 a static address" to "put it on your DMZ/outside your firewall." None of then worked for me on FiOS; the demo worked, and I have no problem with other PS3 multiplayer. I started poking at protocol dumps and decided "debug Blur" wasn't a very fun game.

Multiplayer may work for you, but I'd do a little web research before buying this game for that feature.

Pros: Overall very good game! Easy to follow, easy to understand, easy to play.

Cons: Online advancement is against everyone. Should be against people your level.

Other Thoughts: I would recomend this game.

Pros: Fast paced car race game.There is so much to do in this game I will be tied down to it for months.This is a title that stands above the rest of the race games.The projectiles your car gets to utilize is amazing.Has the same feel of the movie"Death Race". Projectiles appear throughout the race and when you ride over them you can utilize it,for example I drove over an item that looked like a lightning bolt and when I shot the projectile, it went about 100 yards ahead and damaged 2 other cars in the race allowing me to win.There are other aspects of the game like earning car Mods to use to soup up your vehicles.There are many unlockable cars,trucks and off road vehicles.The cars include ones that specialize in speed,grip,and some cars can even drift very good.Fun,Fun,Fun.By the time the player gets past the first 5 or 6 races you feel like you can accomplish everything-then they wake you up real quick with really tough races.The cars beat the snot out of you but leaves you wanting more.

Cons: The 1 on 1 competition was too easy,but once you beat your opponent,you get to use their car,not really a con but they should have added all the cars like the other races.

Other Thoughts: above all else,this game should earn game of the year.I only dabbled in race car games that have options(think Twisted Metal & Need For Speed)mixed together.There are enough side races and things to keep the player busy for a long time.There are many races and besides winning(placing 1st,2nd,or third)the objective is to gain fans and get as many lights as possible.I usually dont review PS3 games but this title will be around a long time to come.Did I mention the graphics are above all I have seen on console gaming. The bottum line is this game smooth and breath taking and absolutely fun and I would have paid $60.00 to play this.I am one happy 33-year old.I feel like a kid again.
