5 out of 5 eggsDiablo 3 for PS3 = Great!

Pros: + Does not require a internet connection in order to play. Unlike it's PC counter-part which failed mostly due to this fact.

+ Support for up to 4 players via online, LAN, or couch Co-op.

+Game runs flawlessly even with hundreds of enemies on screen at 720p resolution. The Xbox 360 version runs at the same resolution but the Xbox 360 just up-scales it to 1080p which more than likely would cause performance issues seeing as the Xbox 360 has less RAM than the PS3. I have yet to run into any sort of stutter, glitch, etc on the PS3 version while on the Xbox 360 version I've play at a friend's has frequent issues.

+ Game looks great and has great physics for rag dolls and pieces of body parts from enemies flying around covering the landscape in blood and mush beautifully.

+ PS3 version is actually more up-to-date than it's Xbox 360 counter-part. This is mostly due to Microsoft trying to squeeze Blizzard for millions so the Xbox 360 version receives the same updates just less frequently in large service pack like updates instead of frequent small updates.

+ Plenty of content to go through, items to find, things to craft, classes to play. This gives you and your friends playing lots to do and you won't just blow through it in less than 2 hours. These qualities give it a replay-ability that is hard pressed to find on consoles today where most developers really skimp out on their game's content for superficial graphics, sounds, etc.

Cons: - Diablo 3 lacks the character development depth that Diablo 1 and 2 had. I have no control over stat allocation like I did in the previous games. So whenever I level up I don't need to take time to think about how I should spend my points on my characters stats such as Strength, Vitality, Intelligence, Dexterity, etc.

- Less level randomization than previous titles.

Other Thoughts: I had been wanting to play Diablo 3 the minute I heard it was coming out years ago. I however am more cautious than most and I wanted to wait for several reviews before I bought it. Luckily I waited because the PC version was riddled with non-sense DRM practices, broken game mechanics, horrible loot drop rates, poorly implemented PVP mechanics, and just a score of other complaints that had Diablo fans up in arms against Blizzard.

I think the biggest problem was that their DRM practices. In order to play the single player of the game, you had to be connected to the internet. WELL GUY WHAT IF MY INTERNET WENT OUT? Well too bad no internet no game. Several people experienced these issues and flooded Blizzards forums with angry posts and death threats toward Blizzard for their shady business practices. Blizzard has since learned from it's mistakes and translated those improvements to the console version, which in my opinion is the version to get it just plays the way you'd expect and doesn't disappoint.

I would however like to point out we are getting very close to the launch of the expansion pack and it doesn't seem like Blizzard is going to deploy it on the PS3 but instead is deploying it on PS4 as an exclusive PS4 title. Time will tell if this is truly the case of if they might bring it to the PS3 also a year or too later.

All in all this is a great game for any PS3 owner. PC quality on a console for a price that is hard to beat. You and your friend/family owe it to yourself to pick this game up and get to slaying some demons!
