Pros: Excellent Campaign leaves you wanting more. Goood pace, good checkpoints don't leave you too far back if you die.

Other Thoughts: I've played Resident Evil since 2 on playstation 1. This is the one of the most fun and definitely best looking RE in the series.

Pros: I have been playing the Resident Evil series since it first came out. Most of the games in the series are very good, only a few flops. This game, I must say is fantastic! It takes the game engine from RE4 and expands upon it. The game play is fantastic & can range from very easy to insanely hard depending on how you choose to play. This if the first true multiplayer Resident Evil game. If you play solo, a computer AI will follow you around. I like how balanced the AI is, not a super character but not ret@rded either. If you played RE4 then you most likely are familiar with the melee concept of attacking. This was continued into RE5; it provides a fun challenge & helps conserve ammo. The story line is excellent, voice acting is also great (they have come a very long way since RE1). The gold, purchasing & upgrade system in place gives you something to constantly work at. Achievements are available for all those completionists out there. I give this game a 9.5/10, a must buy

Cons: True solo mode is not available. The game is almost completely linear. There is a serious lack of puzzles; unlike in the early RE games that the series first started with. The game is more creepy & gory (unlike RE1) rather than actually scary. Despite these things, this game is still amazing; & actually game play is truly phenomenal!

Other Thoughts: If you can get the PV version I would suggest you do. The only major downside is, the Gold edition content is not available. However, the modifications available to download (which gamer (not authorize) make & post on various forums) are truly amazing! It's like downloading a new expansion pack for you're favorite game every week, honestly! The DX10 graphics for the PC are great (they are also good for PS3, but not quiet as good) & playing with a mouse to aim has a great feel. I personally have both PC & PS3 versions; I got the PS3 version because Lost in nightmares, Desperate Escape & Mercenaries Reunion (the downloadable//Gold edition contents) was not available for the PC. I highly recommend this content, it's awesome! Lost in Nightmares (LiN) really brings back a scary retro feel from RE1, although the puzzles were a little too simple for my taste. But LiN get's an A+ for brining the scary feeling back to RE5!
