Asura's Wrath delivers a fresh take on the action gaming genre with unprecedented levels of dynamism, drama and interaction. Once a revered deity, Asura was betrayed by his fellow gods and stripped of all his powers. Consumed by anger at the injustice he has suffered and swearing vengeance, Asura discovers he can use this fury to his advantage and turn it against his enemies. Cue relentless action as Asura finds himself facing off against numerous unique enemies, including planetary sized bosses, unleashing devastating and visceral attacks. Asura's Wrath loses the traditional distinction between gameplay and cutscenes through seamless player controlled narrative. Simply put, even in cinematic sequences the player can control Asura, directly affecting the gameplay, making Asura's Wrath a truly unique experience.
Astonishing Anime-Inspired Over the Top Action Adventure!
Pros: - Amazing, end of a console generation graphics, really pushes the PS3 to its limits
Cons: - Emphasis on storytelling for the first couple of chapters, later chapters have more gameplay
Other Thoughts: When I saw the trailer for Asura's Wrath, I was captivated and when the game came out, I was glad that it delivered on its promise of an over the top action game. Art Direction, character design, original illustrations, Capcom really put a lot of effort into conceiving and bringing to the life the universe of Asura's Wrath. This is by far one of the most unique game experiences I'd had for awhile, a definite winner. I am looking forward to the inevitable sequel....
