Basic game play is good but could use a bit of tweaking here and there. Good character selection with lots of variations between looks and styles (the females though all seem to be pigeon holed into the bikini category). The fighting system is pretty open with lots of room for different styles. Krypt offers lots of reason to keep coming back. Cons: Ever since the series' conversion to polygons it has always looked and moved kind of goofy. As with all other MK games the music might as well not exist. It's always at a super low volume and barely ever gets noticed over the loud smacks and groans. Sometimes the amount of blood just looks ridiculous. Other Thoughts: MK has evolved quite a bit over the years and this is a step in the right direction. It just needs more polish. The amount of goodies outside of the core game is huge and should give people who like to collect extras lots to do. With some character balance tweaks, sound redesign, and a little more thought put into move sets (I'm looking at you Baraka), this could be a great game. Gameplay feels solid and well put together. I love this game! Cons: Few MINOR graphic glitches but in NO way is it a game killer, Could have added a few more NEW selectable characters. Other Thoughts: Well worth the purchase price in my opinion. I will be getting lots of game time on this one!
