Ridge Racer 7 once again whips the racing series in a frenzy, with movie-quality visuals and a stronger online component from that of the Xbox 360 game, Ridge Racer 6. Director Masaya Kobayashi, assistant producer Hideo Teramoto, and sound director Hiroshi Okubo all worked on the successful PSP and Xbox 360 Ridge Racers, and are aiming to use RR for PS3 as a showcase of the system's power and capabilities. Expect 5.1 sound, blistering speed and graphics, 20 courses to racer on, online play for as many as 14 racers, implementation of cool Nitro system showcased in the last two versions, car customization options for at least 200,000 car variations per vehicle, and significant improvements in online play (including cooperative team play.) Best of all, Reiko Nagase returns in Ridge Racer 7, bringing back the racing queen of your dreams!

I have no clue why but DHL's shipping label list whats inside the package at the bottom. Clear as day. Makes no sense to me. Other Thoughts: I was lucky to find this game at that price and brand new. All other stores either don't offer it or its used and completely beat up condition wise. I'm a fan of the series but there latest released (RR Unbounded) has no ties to previous RR games. Chris 2/3/2009 8:01:38 PM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 4/5	Rating: 4/5Ridge Racer 6.5 Pros: This is true to the Ridge Racer series. You are now able to 'upgrade' your car parts (mildly). Cons: Weak visuals for what the PS3 can handle. I have Ridge Racer 6 for the Xbox 360 and most of those tracks are in this game as well. I was very disappointed by that. Very few 'new' tracks. It gets repititous. It should have been called 6.5. Not nearly enough 'new' things to be truely called a new game. Other Thoughts: I enjoyed the game because I am into racing games and have enjoyed the series in the past, but if you have played 6 don't expect much of a difference here except for the upgrade gimmick. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Cons: I felt it was a terrible game to buy for what the ps3 could possibly handle. I felt it was too much for what it was worth. I hope that the next one is much better. Wish I could get the hang of drafting. Cons: I played online a couple of times and I came in dead last everytime, so I gave that up. I can never finish high enough to buy a cusom car, so don't know if thats part of the problem. Other Thoughts: I wish they would make the same scenic tracks with no or little curves, since I always wipe out drafting. It would be nice to just go all out for a change. Other Thoughts: Rented this game with Full Auto just to try it out. I ended up buying this game after returning my rental. GT4 demo has better Graphics but, RR7 is an awesome completed racing game. Very fun. Drifting is so cool. Cons: Takes a long time to get the hang of it. Drifting at first is really complicated unless you get the feel for it. Other Thoughts: A must own for any PS3 owner.
