5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This game has a very unique multi-player style that is along the lines of the classic Demon souls, both by Atlus. the game will never leave you unsatisfied and you will always come back for more. it can be unforgiving but thats what makes it great! i recommend anyone who enjoys some action rpg to give this amazing title a try, who will not be disappointed!

Cons: The only issue with this game is the multiplayer style makes it hard to play with friends, because of multiply servers, but it is possible. i myself play this with my girlfriend all the time and we both love it, its just the time it takes to get summoned into each others worlds

Other Thoughts: One of the best games out there!!

5 out of 5 eggscheap and fun

Pros: Cheap, challenging game that only costs 20 bucks. Worth getting if into challenging games with lots of playthrough. Gotta love this game, its one of my favorites.

Cons: Not many cons to look at considering 20 bucks for a good quality game. (Maybe might be too difficult for people, but its all preference)

Other Thoughts: If you played demon souls before, this game would be best played after, and then prepare to die edition xD

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Game

Pros: Starts out difficult and gets a little easier if you know what you are doing, if not it gets more difficult. There is a lot to learn in this game but if you put the time in it is very rewarding. Summoning help is a great thing and for most bosses you will need it. Great weapons and fighting movements are good also. Great community of players still too. Graphics very good. Coop is very fun.

Cons: Getting invaded can by glitchers. Learning curve is pretty high but there is alot of help online.

Other Thoughts: For under $20 it is a no brainer. Get it and go to the wiki for help.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: This is for serious games, not whiners. It is difficult and tests your ability to adapt to (some) comprehensive fights.

Graphics, sounds and in game storyline is excellent. I recommend this to everyone.

Just like, Demon's Souls, this game is up there with Bioware type games.

Cons: No one likes cons on a great game. However I will point out the only con (not stopping me from playing this game) is all the similar references and stolen magic/items/moves from Demon's Souls.

I think there could have been more implementation of moves, combat and not, magic and newer type items in this release.

Other Thoughts: I love this game. Just because I put the references to Demon's Souls (Another game I love) in the cons section doesn't mean this game loses any quality to me.

Get it, you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsSo. Freaking. Amazing!!!

Pros: Very hard game, intensely hard in fact. You have to be very smart to get past most of the bosses and other struggles through the game.

Cons: Just a very little laggy in some places, not bad at all though!

Other Thoughts: Great game, I've played Demon Souls for so long and now with Dark Souls, my life is complete.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Experience

Pros: they took demon's souls and improved it... it's an open world now with seamless transitions from area to area. at first I missed the nexus from the first game, but now I'm glad it's gone. the voice work is still great and some are super creepy. the music (or lack thereof at times) is exceptional for setting the mood.

Cons: still some wonky camera and targeting issues

5 out of 5 eggsFight beyond your last breath.

Pros: Gameplay: This is where the game really shines. Fairly deep RPG mechanics course through what is otherwise a tight and refined Action-Adventure experience. Combat is responsive and always tense, with every parry, block, dodge, and attack weighing heavily. Different character builds truly feel and handle combat differently. Also, the sheer uncompromising, yet fair, challenge this game offers must be noted.

Visuals: Extremely well done, very rich in detail. The designs of the creatures and environments all work very well together.

Audio: Equally pleasing, the sounds are all convincing and clear, lending a great sense of immersion. The often quiet music lends itself well to the game's theme of loneliness, despair, and hope.

Cons: Visuals: There are occasional dips in framerate. Never to unplayable levels, and rarely for longer than a few moments, generally few and far between.

Other Thoughts: Please do keep in mind, this game is VERY difficult. In fact, it will be exactly as difficult as you make it.

I've seen others comment on the "lack of story". There isn't a lack of story if you properly explore, and pay heed to what is around you. The game very clearly sets itself up as YOUR story. You will get as much or as little out of it as you put in.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat game unless you want co-op

Pros: Gameplay - Extremely challenging but rewarding gameplay. The controls are very tight and responsive, if you live or die it is completely based on your skill and strategy. Most of the times that I die are from rushing ahead without thinking. If you like a challenge you will enjoy it, but be warned, unless you have a guide or look online there is no easy way to get through this.

Graphics - looks great, just look at any video online. The physics for corpses is a little wierd but doesnt take from the gameplay.

Multiplayer - intesting. Allows co-op with other people in areas where you have not yet defeated the boss. Also allows you to invade other players games to attack them and impede their progress, adds some extra hours of fun to a great 1 player game.

Sound - orchestrated music for boss fights and lack of music for other areas. All the needed sounds add to the overall experience.

Replayability - allows multiple playthroughs with higher level mobs and multiplayer

Cons: Story - I have not finished it yet but the story is not what motivates you to move forward. It is vague and not as engaging as many other games out there, but with multiple playthroughs and some exploring you can learn more about the world than what is initially available.

Graphics - There are occasional drops in framerate. These drops have not been bad enough to effect my gameplay but should be noted.

Multiplayer - currently you cannot easily group up with a friend. The people you can group with is random based on the server you are on and some other things and there is no voice chat. If you want to play this game alongside friends, hope for a patch from the developer or find another game.

Other Thoughts: I bought this from another retailer but didn't see any reviews here so thought I would post one.

This game is challenging. I do not recommend this for someone who is looking for an easy game to play through or an engaging story. I have mainly been motivated to move forward by wondering what the next challenge will be and how I will survive it.

I have not felt my heart race in a game the same way it does in these boss fights since soul calibur 2 tournaments and I have not felt anticipation of what is coming next like this since resident evil 2.

I hope there will be a way for me to group with specific friends in the future rather than random people but overall a very fun game.
