My PSP is alive again!
- Pros: It works as it's supposed to.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: Never over-charge a lithium-ion or lithium-cadmium rechargeable battery. As i found out through the cost of my previous one, leaving it on it's charger for long periods of time will degrade the battery life at an alarming rate.
More Battery Life for your PSP
- Pros: 400 more MA for your battery pleasure. The original battery that came with my Launch PSP was 1800ma, this one is 2200ma so that turns out to be between 15 and 20% more capacity by my math. The good news is that in reality it seems to be MUCH longer. I can now watch two full length movies from the Memory Stick before having to swap batteries and gaming sessions are extended by at least a couple of hours. For example, when playing Gd of War I was getting at most 1.5 - 2 hours of gameplay before I had to plug in, now I am getting 3+ hours out of the same game. Internet browsing or WiFi use also seems to be much longer with this battery in place. It fit perfectly into my PSP-1000, no bulge and I didn't have need for the included covers (I suppose they are for the slim model) but I kept them anyway in case I upgrade.
- Cons: Might be a tad heavier than the 1800ma battery. The price is a little steep but hey, isn't everything that is proprietary?
- Other Thoughts: If you have an aging PSP battery that doesn't hold as much charge there's no reason not to step up to this better and longer life battery.
Great upgrade for slims
- Pros: It increases the battery life over the standard PSP slim (PSP2000) in my case from an average 3-4 hours to 9+ hours on the same game, volume, and brightness levels. It also comes with backplates for slims to accommodate the larger battery
- Cons: bulges the back of the PSP slim, but small price for double the non-tethered usage time.
- Other Thoughts: Although not as high-powered as some of the extreme life batteries for the larger PSP, it is an excellent option for slim users as it includes the larger backplates which can be a bother to hunt down.
