1 out of 5 eggsDC Universe Online Requires A Lot of Patience, and a Big Screen TV

Pros: Great character customization. Incredible map layouts. Flying around Gotham City is a pretty cool experience.

I am big comic fan, and DC has done a terrific job adding a vast world filled with all of their a list, and b list characters

Cons: The Gameplay is pretty boring and repetitive. Go to Point A...beat up x amount of enemies. Take object b to point c. You get the point...

Menu system is somewhat confusing. If you miss your queues from your appointed DC mentor, you will be flying around the city aimlessly.

If you don't own a widescreen TV, don't even consider picking up this game. The side menus chat boxes are so small they are unreadable.

$15 a month is a steep price to pay for a game that you already dropped 60 bucks on.

Game also takes up 17 GB of space on your drive, so if you have an 80GB PS3, and have several games, you will likely need to delete some things off of your drive just to get DCUO to fit.

Makes it impossible to install new games without upgrading your PS3 hard drive.

Other Thoughts: A lot of folks are saying the real gameplay begins at level 30. I made it level 6, and was so frustrated that I wanted to throw the game out the window. This one is for kids or adults with a lot of time on their hands.

1 out of 5 eggsBIG Mistake 100% Subscription Based

Pros: Looks neat, graphics are well done. Seems to have lots of features.

Cons: $15.00 per month subscription based game. I saw the "Online" reference in the title but naively assumed it was free through PS3. Big Print Givith Small Print Taketh away.
I am sure most big gamers will laugh. But if you are a parent like me hunting for a good game for their kids need to know and pay more attention then I did. I am very disappointed they would make a game for $56 and then charge a monthly fee on top of that. Absolutely crazy. I am on my way to E Bay now to get something back out of it.

Other Thoughts: If you are a causal gamer, this game did let me go in without going through a setup of a new account. However it is not at all very easy to understand and get going. Hooly Manuals Batman, many many many more free games worth playing than this one. Big mistake.

4 out of 5 eggsPeople Just Dont Get It Do They?

Pros: This is mainly to say i dont get folks who dont understand what pay to play games are lol....

Cons: as said above just to poke at those who feel the need to rate a game down cause they are a cheapskate sry first person to write a review your opinion of being cheap isnt needed and down right rude to use!

Other Thoughts: This is a great game i played it since beta (and still goin! Fun game play good graphics (ya its got issues but what MMO dont at the start?

5 out of 5 eggsEpic, and Underappreciated

Pros: If you're like me and are an avid fan of not just DC comics, but in particular the 90's DC cartoons (Superman, Batman) you will find yourself in love with this game.

*The voice work for Batman and Joker are undeniably the best you'll find in most any game.
**The game progresses rapidly! If you play this game with the mindset of a Super Hero or a Super Villain you will be level 30 in less than a week.
***Epic firefights between a blossoming world of brooding vigilantes, aspiring heroes, malicious thugs, and techno villains all vying to be the ultimate combatant against Brainiac's invasion.
****The game starts at level 30. And when it starts, its one of the most challenging MMO experiences out there.
*****Great costume customization.
******Duos, Legendary PVP (playing as Batman, Superman, etc), Gigantic Raids, battling Iconic comic book heroes/villains in the streets of Gotham or Metropolis, and awesome animated cut scenes!
*******The best out of the box MMO I've played.

Cons: *Will still need to be fleshed out with a few more patches.
**Level 30 players often do not know their roles as a player because they've soloed themselves to level cap.
***Hiccups and glitches that influence completion of Alerts and Missions.
****The UI for both PC and PS3 still need slight tuning.

Other Thoughts: If people stay with this game giving the necessary finance to release a full scale expansion (I hear its Doomsday) DCU Online will become one of the all time greats. As it stands, its an experience not to be missed in the least. I have gotten to level 30 on both PC and PS3, and I'm still not burnt out. Get this game, and relive a piece of your childhood.

Remember, this will be one of Mark Hamills last roles as Joker, and I guarantee you will love every minute playing under his tutelage... or against him as your nemesis!

1 out of 5 eggsAwful game

Pros: There really no pros for this game. From the Get go you have to pay the 56 dollar and 15 every month just to play something you pay for already. I didn't buy this from newegg because I pick up on a snow day and was just idling at home.

Cons: Pay to buy the game and pay to play the game - that just awful!
