SONY PS3 Media/Blu-ray Disc Remote Control

Pros: Blu Tooth with PS3 connection. Operates my television and receiver. Came with batteries. Solid feel that I can tell is built well.

Cons: No cons as it does exactly what I expected it to do.

Pros: This does everything it is supposed to do and makes utilizing the PS3 for online services such as streaming videos so much easier and intuitive than trying to use the controller.

Cons: Thus far there have been none for us although a visitor with somewhat larger & more ponderous digit's did mention loudly that they make all TV remotes with buttons too small.

Other Thoughts: This was being offered during a really good group of Newegg specials and the cost was the enticement to give it a try. Now I don't understand why we hesitated at all for such a benefit as it is worth having this even at the full price.

Please note that Newegg shipped this out and it arrive so quickly I never had a chance to second guess the purchase which is a large fault of mine.

Pros: Works great, setup was a breeze. Must have for movie watchers!

Pros: Controls the PS3 nicely and my Pioneer TV. Great price on sale. I guess 2 out of 3 aint bad eh? Maybe I shouldn't complain, for the price it can't be beat although the regular PS3 controllers were working just fine for controlling everything.

Cons: Won't control my Yamaha receiver. Can't "learn"either.

Other Thoughts: I bought this believing that it would control the PS3, the TV AND my receiver. It's got the AV button and everything! I wasn't expecting a lot just power and volume. It has numerous codes for various TV's and controls my Pioneer plasma just fine, even more complicated things like input and screen resolution. Unfortunately, I didn't read the fine print and it turns out that this remote only controls SONY AV receivers. That was really disappointing as now I still need a second remote to change the volume on the receiver. This didn't solve anything for me really and is now probably just going to sit in a drawer.

Pros: Works as advertised, controls all functions on my Sony TV as well as the PS3. You need to enter the PS3 settings and link the remote to the system before it will control the PS3, TV control was instant. Comes with batteries and easy to follow instructions in any language.

Pros: Great controller for waching DVDs on the PS3. Simple to link to the PS3 with a few easy, well defined steps. So much easier to wach a DVD than trying to use the PS3 game controller.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This product works as advertised.

Pros: does what it needs to do
doesn't need line of sight operation (thanks Bluetooth)
inexpensive

Cons: not quite plug & play, you may have to read the manual when pairing for the first time (for those that don't like reading instructions)
the PS3 power button ends up being in the middle of the remote!

Other Thoughts: The PS3 is still the best bluray player after all these years but using the controller in a home theater setup just doesn't cut it, so I decided to get this remote and can't believe how useful it is. I don't know why all remotes are not Bluetooth, even Logitech's Harmony remote can't do this without an annoying additional dongle and costs almost 20 times the price.

Cons: hard to use. constantly have to look at the controller to know what your pressing.

Pros: It works with my Sony 3D display. It works with my Ps3. It works with my Roommates 3D display, in the same room, but it is focused enough to target the one it is being pointed at directly. All in all, this remote does what it says it will. If you're feeling lazy, grab it. It's at a solid price.

Pros: This remote is useful but only if you plan to watch a lot of blu-rays or watch streamed movies on your PS3. Makes life easier when watching movies because of the extra buttons compared to the PS3 controller that are more for video functions.

Cons: Not made for gaming but it is still possible to do with for some games.

Other Thoughts: Haven't used much of it actually but it is still useful to have around for the PS3.
