2 out of 5 eggsEhhh

Pros: The multiplayer is great. There's not really a whole lot new, but the ability to purchase upgrades and vehicles is pretty cool.

Cons: The game doesn't really present much in the way of new gameplay. The story, while interesting, is nothing new and reminds me of Freedom Fighters (although I found that game much more entertaining).

The single player campaign is just too short. It's entertaining at times, but not fulfilling enough.

The graphics seem pretty old at this point, especially compared to rivals Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Call of Duty.

Other Thoughts: The multiplayer is very good, but the game falls short on the single player campaign. The story is good, but the campaign is too short. The narrative could be drawn out for an entire series of games but the missions just touch on parts of what could be a very intriguing story.

1 out of 5 eggsSUCKS

Pros: Guns sound awesome (very thunderous and powerful sounding). That is one of my dislikes about CoD games...their guns sound like paintball guns. I like the recoil on the guns in Homefront also. The recoil adds a realistic feel to the weapons. The multiplayer maps are large and fun. The story was short, but it was at least very fun to play. The helicopter part of the story mode was AWESOME fun!!! That does it for the pros.

Cons: Wow, where do I start? Graphics = not great. I was under the impression that the graphics would be good, but was very disappointed. Story mode is WAY too short. Feels like more of a tutorial than a story mode. But that is the least of the problems. I play FPS games for multiplayer, not for story mode. I use the story mode just to get use to the controls so I don't get pwned in MP. The MP has SERIOUS issues. Servers are all messed up, constant freezes requiring restart of the PS3, constantly getting kicked from the PSN while playing this game and this game only, hard to get into a game, can't pair up with buddy down the street most of the time, glitches, lags, etc. Let's just say the game is completely flawed from a technical standpoint, and it doesn't seem that THQ/Kaos will get it fixed any time soon, although they keep saying they will. Aside from the technical mockery, there aren't enough guns to choose from. I was really disappointed to see only a handful of guns.

Other Thoughts: CONS continued...
The vehicle system is just plain stupid. You can't just hop in a vehicle like you can in Battlefield games. You have to earn the points to "spawn" a vehicle. And even then you can only spawn the vehicle in one place...behind your "home base" line. There are no spawn points at any of the flags in conquest mode. You can only spawn in one area in the entire map. No squad spawning. That is just plain stupid. And it's even more stupid to see a vehicle spawn into thin air with somebody already in the driver seat. To me it is just plain cheesey. I don't recommend buying this game. Just wait for Battlefield 3.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth full price.

Pros: Amazing concept.

Cons: Horrible game play. Very frustrating to be killed without knowing from where or why.

Other Thoughts: Would have been so much better if the COD or MOH developers had bought the concept and run with it.

4 out of 5 eggsHomefront ps3 version

Pros: Don't listen to all of the negative ''press'' about this game.
And the top reviewer who said there are 50 levels is wrong, there are 75 levels to play to. And he said pro: no kill streaks, and then con: only 3 kill streaks, wdf dude, lol.
The 1 player is short, but come on people, it's for the MP. Which is great, there are some problems but the game has only been out a couple weeks. You need to give them some time to get the servers to 100%, and to fix the party problems. I bet people can't name one game that had a perfect launch.

Cons: There are server problems, it definitely takes your avg. gamers full patience sometime trying to get into a full\decent server. Also, a pain getting into a server w\ friends sometimes as well. The 1 player is short, but if 1 player is your thing you shouldn't be playing fps games, MOST OF THEM ARE SHORT ! haha
The graphics are really bad, the game looks better at low res. on my pc than on my 1080p 55".
It does also freeze sometimes, and sometimes seems like a lot when all you want to do is shoot @ some punks w\ your buddies.

Other Thoughts: Sometimes I can be a graphics snob, I thought BO looked like poop until I saw this game haha.
But I don't rate the game on graphics, and the 1 player length(In a game made 95% MP anyways)... I make my judgement on game play. And that is where this game shines, online at least. The 1p is a short "tunnel" introducing nothing new to the genre at all IMO.
I didn't think the writing was awful like a lot, but it sure wasn't great either.
It's nice to have a shooter out there where you don't just need to hold down the fire button to kill someone at decent range. In most cases you need to pick your shots, and fire in controlled bursts. Something other fps\tps games should consider trying.
The vehicles are a cinch to drive, I don't know again what the top reviewer is talking about.
It seems the vehicles, at least the ground vehicles do turn VERY slowly, but other than that they do what you tell them to do.Oh, theres also assault rifles in this game, top reviewer must've played a different

1 out of 5 eggsPoor THQ

Pros: No Claymores. No Spawn Traps. No killstreaks. Plenty of Perks.

Cons: The game must have been made for the Wii, because the graphics are subpar. 480p with the game running at about 30fps. Guns have no recoil, and your grenade throws have no direction.

Multi-player Gripes:
-Ghost Perk.
-Limited Killstreaks (About 3)
-Only 9 Weapons Total (3 LMGs, 3 SMG's, 2 Sniper, 1 Shotgun)
-Poor hit detection
-Poor quality graphics
-Microphone glitch (Can't hear party members)
-Party system is flawed (Can't party up with friends into same lobby).
-Poor servers.
-Getting killed half across the map by campers
-Large maps
-Vehicles are terrible to use
-Known to freeze from time to time (happened to me 4 times in 2 days).
-Not optimized for higher resolution screens. Looks like a game made in 2002.

Other Thoughts: Took it back. Trade-in value was cut down to $20. Not even worth purchasing, or buying used.

DLC is $9.99 for one map and one new gun.

4 out of 5 eggsGood game overall

Pros: While single player is a bit short, it was pretty fun. The online multi-player is awesome and where this game shines, I like it much better than black ops. Not repetitive like black ops, and the large maps are great. Good teamwork is pretty important, which I like.

Cons: Ya, Only real downfall is that it was short. But even then I still enjoyed it alot, and doesn't make me regret buying it. Graphics are only average, but not bad by any means.

Other Thoughts: I think all the hype about this game is why people are rating it low. No, it's not some amazing breakthrough game, but it is still extremely fun. Worth a rental if you just want to play the single player. If multi-player is what you want, definitely worth the purchase.

1 out of 5 eggsNew ways to get additional $$$

Pros: I'm sure there's something.

Cons: Poor graphics. Single player is just a "tunnel" game. Also, the single player is VERY short - maybe 5 hours. If you have multiple people in your family, they'll either have to use one account or shell out an additional $10 per person. The last point will keep me from ever buying another THQ game.

Other Thoughts: Very disappointed. I should have waited for other people to review before I bought.
