4 out of 5 eggsGreat remaster

Pros: Wow, all 3 Splinter Cell games on one disc for 19.96, what a steal. These definitely look better than the originals. There is no stretching of the picture whatsoever. Everything was proportionate. If some people are dealing with stretching, they might want to look at their TV settings. I haev a 50" Panasonic 3D Vierra Plasma, and the games look sweet on it. The picture quality is as clear as it can be considering the age of the games; especially the first one. I still have my PS2 and old Xbox hooked up to another TV in my little man cave. I played the the first couple of missions for each ttle on the blu ray. I then went and booted up the older systems with the original single disc games. There is a huge difference in the visuals. Adding the Trophies to these games was a nice touch too.

Cons: My only gripe is the audio, especially on the first game. Many times characters will repeat the last letter of the word in their dialogue a few times. Example; At the end of the first games trasining mission when Lambert introduces Fischer to Wilkes. When Wilkes says, "Welcome to the NSA", it sounds like, "Welcome to the NSAAAA." I'm hoping this doesn't happen throughout all the games. I was a little disappointed with the packaging of my order as well. It was packed in a padded envelope that was much to big for the case. When I took the package out of my mailbox, I could hear that the game was rattling around inside the case. I was furious. Thankfully, I did not see any marks on the disc.

Other Thoughts: I have been a huge fan of the Splinter Cell series, except for Double Agent, and it was great to finally get the original 3 on one disc for so cheap. When comparing the original discs to these, in terms of visuals, the HD release shines nicely. If you have the originals and a playable old system, boot them up and see for yourself. Looking forward to playing all 3 in a row over the next few weeks.

4 out of 5 eggsLooked good to me...

Pros: Not sure what some of the other reviewers were talking about. This game looked pretty HD to me, at least compared to the PC version I played back in the day, it even had a few minor changes to doorways and ramps, characters and all were definitely more HD-ish.

Cons: Few minor audio problems, about it.

Other Thoughts: No way I'd pay the top price at the moment of 40 dollars, but if it's on sale again for 15 like when I got it, it's definitely worth a buy. 3 games all redone, top notch.

5 out of 5 eggsCreates authentic SC gameplay

Pros: Minor quibbles aside, these PS3 versions of Splinter Cell's best 3 games nicely creates an authentic SC atmosphere on the Playstation 3. Graphics are equivalent to what it looked like on a PC when they first came out. Mechanics and controls are spot-on. All 3 titles are surprisingly top quality, although most would say Chaos Theory is the best, then the original SC, then Pandora. I was afraid I would be disappointed by this PS3 version, but in the end I was quite impressed.

Cons: Minor audio issues, and rare stuttering - doesn't affect gameplay enough to matter.

Other Thoughts: This port could have been far worse, and nothing close to what many negative reviews have had to say. I would have to guess they haven't even played this version.

1 out of 5 eggsHD yeah right

Pros: 3 games for 1

Cons: Not remade like other HD packs (MGS for one).

Other Thoughts: They have the gal to call it HD when it's just stretched video. All of the recent success with remaking good, old games in HD have been successful because the graphics are actually adjusted. Stretching old video, slapping a $40 price tag for absolutely no real work done is a classic move by Ubisoft.

2 out of 5 eggsNOT real HD

Pros: Price, 3 games on one disc

Cons: This is not like other games remade in real HD, still has old graphics but expanded to fit on a larger screen and branded HD. I was very disappointed in ubisoft for slapping HD on this.

Other Thoughts: With older games being brought to HD and graphics updated this was a very big disappointment. It would have been great if the game was brought to par with the recent release of the franchise. If you have a smaller tv 32" or smaller it would not be so bad but on 55" it looks horrible.
