Can you say camera angles?

Pros: It was only $27.99! There’s always 2-4 characters that you can swap out with during game play to do different things. Aiming at objects with characters that can shoot is a nice simple process. There’s quite a few videos but the game allows you to skip through them (really nice if you don’t like watching many videos like me). The downside I suppose is you don’t get the whole plot.
Cons: Camera angles! If you picture each level as having four walls, the camera permanently mounted on one of those walls (as opposed to following behind the characters). This is EXTREMELY irritating as trees, walls and many other objects hide items like treasure chests, shards, and even different areas of the game. It also makes it VERY difficult to easily explore even smaller rooms as you have to run along each wall to make sure you didn’t miss anything. Also when the character is running toward the camera & gets right under it, it’s like you’re running backwards. Consequently you find yourself suddenly being hit by enemies you didn’t even know were there. Another example on the beach level is the camera is mounted in the water looking toward shore. Instead of being able to look left or right to see what’s down either side of the beach, you actually have to make your slow character run all the way down both sides of the beach.
Other Thoughts: The killer to all this is in the manual it says the right analog stick is for CAMERA CONTROL! This is only partially true. Trying to change the camera angle by moving the stick, literally (except for a few places,) has more the visual effect of dropping the controller rather than that someone is actually trying to move the camera. In most games where you would simply look left or right to see things, this game has you running all over. After awhile your brain seems to somewhat get used to the irritation. NEUTRAL COMMENTS: If you’re going to play, make certain that you physically access each part of the map on every level so you don’t miss anything. During game play if you’re ever not sure what to do next (like when you’re supposed to destroy the war machines), pressing start will display your objectives. A very nice feature as sometimes it gets confusing.
