Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.
Not as good as the full console experience
This review is from: Batman: Arkham Origins BlackGate PS Vita
Pros: Scratches that metroidvania itch.
Cons: Obtuse boss battles with long reloads between tries
Other Thoughts: Overall I enjoyed the game, it's a solid entry but not an award winner by any means. I debated giving it 3 eggs instead of 4 but I did play through the whole thing which means it kept my interest. The worst part is secret hunting after you've cleared out the prison; a lot of that is due to map issues. Giving you a 2d map for a psuedo 3d game makes it occasionally difficult to find your way around.
