1 out of 5 eggsTerrible wheel Broke in two weeks

Pros: I was Really happy when it first came i was excied about getting to use it. I was mostly excited about the clutch function. I used this wheel to play mostly live for speed which is one of the best sim racing games.

Cons: This is not a proffesional wheel its only about 10 inches in diameter mabye a 5 year old would enjoy it. the shifter feels kind of cheap. The whole pedals move around too much, and the rubber pads under it do not help. The wheel also does not turn as much, it only turns half way left and right. the paddles in the back make a weird noise when you use them. This wheel broke while i was playing Live for speed, and suddenly i hear a weird soud come from the wheel, and it turned right and locked itself, and if i tried to turn it left, it would roll back right, i tried to recalibrate it but that didnot help, i tried thrustmaster to fix it but they wanted me to send it all the way to canda and wait 3 months to get it fixed, so i just returned it, and i had to pay the return shipping for this junk. I paid $80 for it, but it is not even worth that much, it is worth something close to $50 if you asked me based on its quality. My opinion is you should not buy it.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this wheel, its not worth for the money and will break easily. if you are looking for quality, and performance buy the logitech G27

2 out of 5 eggsDefective

Pros: The wheel has good feel and FFB is strong but only on some games with correct driver installed (from disk date 2009). The clamp holds pretty good so far and hasn't moved as some report but I have solid desk.

Cons: The drivers are minimal and technical or web support is practically non-existent. The driver settings as well as windows calibration without the driver indicate that only the brake input and wheel controls are progressive, meaning it slides up and down in up and down values or left to right. the gas pedal acceleration function is either on or off, no progression. So you either have full gas or none. Not that noticeable with some cars with low power but with high power autos throttle control is disastrous. The pedal pod slides around, this is true and the paddle shifters are creaky and cheap flimsy plastic not inspiring confidence they will last.

Other Thoughts: I am sending this back. I will give Thrustmaster another chance but I do not have high hopes judging by their website they do not want to be contacted.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price.

Pros: Has a clutch, somewhat adjustable pedals. The wheel feels pretty robust. Excellent mounting system, don't even need to bolt it down. Supported by most games and has preset profiles (Grid, Dirt 2, Need for Speed Shift 1 and 2, and plenty of others i'm sure.

Cons: None for the price? The rubber wheel might burn your hands if you let it slide through them too much, but you probably won't find yourself doing that.

Other Thoughts: The wheel doesn't turn all the way around like some other wheels, goes a little more than halfway, but that's okay. Pedals are a smidge cheapy and if you're the rough type you could possibly break off the sequential shift lever, I almost did once. For the price it's an overall great wheel and serves it's purpose well.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Steering Wheel

Pros: It is a Great wheel, i didnt buy mine off of NewEgg but i did own one aty one point and then i returned it because it did not work for GT5, When it arrived and GT5 wasnt out yet so i started using the wheel on a few PC Games, It was Phenominal, it felt great, it was sturdy, and all the functions were great. it was easy to attach to the desk and after it was attached it felt pretty solid. and it is one of the only reasonably priced wheel that also has a clutch pedal.

Cons: It does not work with GT5
Pedals feel a little bit cheap, but not too bad
Pedals slide alot, no matter what surface your on
Steering is a little bit too hard if you have it in the mode where it auto-centers

Other Thoughts: If you are going to buy a steering wheel for use primarily on a PC buy this wheel, and buy it off of new egg because this is a drastically lower price than what I got mine for.
