1 out of 5 eggsmediocre if you don't have compatibility issues, if you do then it's terrible....

Pros: Good size and reasonable ergonomics. Light weight. Basically, when there's no compatibility issues (see cons), it works great.

Cons: The laser works fine if you're using it to point to things on a non-illuminated surface like a chalkboard (but less so on a dry erase board). However, when trying to point things out in a PowerPoint presentation that appears via a projector or a large backlit screen, it's not very good at all. It is very underpowered. I end up having to use a laser pointer in one hand and this thing in the other hand to do my presentations, which is no good. Additionally, I can't get the thing to work with my HP Pavillion laptop (though it works with my Sony Vaio). On the HP, it didn't work on this machine under Vista or Windows7. I spent quite a bit of time trying to troubleshoot this to no avail. Logitech's documentation and driver patches were totally unhelpful. I don't know if this is HP or logitech who dropped the ball, but it is fairly irritating.

4 out of 5 eggsindestructible clam shell case

Pros: If you're using powerpoint, this this works just like it says. Forward, backward, start/stop show, blank screen buttons. The laser is plenty bright, and the transmitter stores nicely. It even has a slick neoprene case.

Cons: It comes in one of those indestructible clamshell cases that are impossible to open without gouging yourself. Wear some leather gloves and use a sharp knife.
Also, the timer only increments by 5 minutes at a time, which is weird.

Other Thoughts: It came with actual Duracell batteries instead of some random brand.

2 out of 5 eggsOnly good for small dark rooms

Pros: The timer is nice, which is of course why to buy this model. Battery indicator also helpful. Flawless integration with all programs tested.

Cons: Very disappointed in the laser. The spot is very small and not bright. In a medium sized room (50-100 people) with enough light to allow people to take notes, the spot is almost invisible. I think every other combo device I've used, which is about 10, had a better laser. Even the credit card sized promo freebies are better than this. I would not buy it again and will probably use it only to throw at presenters when their time is up.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat presentation device

Pros: I actually got this after using another person's and it's been the best presentation clicker I've ever used. If you have to give a presentation in front of folks and move around a lot like I do, you can't go wrong with this presenter. I haven't encountered a laptop that it doesn't work with and the timer function is really a nice tool for me (I tend to go over my time limits and this really helps)

Cons: None that I've found so far

Other Thoughts: Pretty much the standard in presentation mice. Clicker, pointer, timer functions all work perfectly

5 out of 5 eggsSuper!

Pros: Its fantastic for what it does. The controls are great and responsive. Very sleek. Very good value for money.

Cons: Ability to set custom timer/vibrate points would have been useful. Currently it only alerts you at almost the end and then at the end of the countdown. The ability to define when you want to be alerted (half way would be a good point). But it does its job well and I don't mind this quirk.

Other Thoughts: The timer is not readable in dim light. (a backlight may have solved this issue but that would have reduced battery life.) As a whole I don't use the timer that much- so its not an issue for me.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I just received the Logitech 2.4 GHz Presenter. Works great with PowerPoint on an HP (Compaq) nc6220 laptop. Also works with OpenOffice 2.4 on the same laptop (OS is MS Win XP). Also works with an Asus Eee running Asus' Linux (Xandros) with OpenOffice 2.0 (came installed on Eee). Slide advance/go back and F5/Esc funtions work fine. Haven't tried the button to switch to projector yet.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: As always, Newegg service and delivery was excellent. Happy to see it work "out of the box" on the Asus Eee.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Use it in lots of locations and lots of distances. A true professional-quality unit.

Cons: Works perfectly with PPT but doesn't do back-builds with Apple's Keynote.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat range, strong signal

Pros: I just got this a few days ago, and went to campus today to try it out under simulated working conditions. It worked all over the classroom, with a tablet PC that's sitting behind some low walls on a console in the front of the room. No problems whatsoever with line of sight. (I say that because I purchased a bargain unit from another source some time back that claimed to use RF; it was actually IR, which requires line of sight between the clicker and the USB transmitter. No good for my purposes.)

I got curious and decided to test just how good this thing is at beaming through walls, etc. So I went out in the hall and closed the classroom door, to see if it would still operate the PowerPoint presentation from out there. The door has a small vertical window, so I could see the results. It worked flawlessly, from 25+ feet away, through a thick wooden door and even a foot-thick cinderblock wall. I could point the clicker toward the floor, no problem. It still worked fine.

Cons: I wish the unit had a button to restart a PowerPoint from where it left off, if you happen to stop the slide show. To do that you have to return to the computer itself and mouse-click the on-screen control. In other words, if you hit the "F5/esc" button on the clicker, whether on purpose or by mistake, and it stops the slide show, when you restart the slide show with the clicker it goes back to the beginning. It would be nice to be able to start where you left off, without having to walk back over to the computer to do it. A fairly minor quibble, though.

5 out of 5 eggsA good presentation presenter

Pros: Very good USB presenter. Reliable, useful to control your presentation far from your laptop. Has a laser pointer included and a vibrating timer that you can set up at your will. The battery is long lasting.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: It comes with a soft carrying pouch.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: This is our second one of these. It is simple and compact. It is also so easy to set up. The freedom it gives our presenters is worth every penny.

Cons: Would love for it to have an automatic turn off if not used for a certain period of time.
