4 out of 5 eggsWorks well with Creative Hub and RPi2

Pros: - easy to use easy to setup
- universal remote codes
- works well with RPi2 and OpenElec
- works well with Creative Hub universal remote
- great price

Cons: - clunky remote, but I do not use it
- large receiver

Other Thoughts: For what it is used for it works perfectly well, drivers for linux exist and can be used with most distros provided you have the drivers. The MCE input is very common.
I use this on my Raspberry Pi1 and OpenElec(Kodi 13/14/15). OpenELEC has drivers built into to it so this is just plug and play, no setup necessary.
I use this with the Logitech Harmony Smart Constrol hub, and it works rather well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Addition to WMC HTPC

Pros: Easy set up, gives the full TV remote, flippin' channels experience to WMC. Will also control Blu Ray and DVD playback in WinDVD and WMC.

Cons: Doesn't have a previous channel button. With a Keyboard, the space bar will take you to your last channel.

Other Thoughts: I know WMC is dead end, but a previous channel button would make this remote perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked right out of the box

Pros: I'm using this with a NUC HTPC running Windows (7) media center. It has its own built-in IR receiver and this remote worked WITHOUT plugging in the supplied USB/IR receiver. Furthermore I did not have to load ANY software. All the buttons I've tried so far worked: sleep button wakes and puts the NUC to sleep, volume up/down, mute, info (I use to add subtitles), FF, guide, etc. All I had to do was open the box, insert the supplied AAA batteries, and press the on/off (looks like a sleep button - crescent moon symbol). Couldn't be happier. Have not tried the green WMC button yet but I don't really need it, I leave the WMC app open so no need to launch every time I watch TV.

Cons: I did have to log into my windows account when my PC woke up before I could use the remote to control WMC. This isn't really the fault of the remote, though, and I could probably set up windows to bypass this step with some fiddling.

Other Thoughts: I was using a logitech k400 wireless keyboard before and I was hesitant to spend any more $ for this remote. Now glad I did.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply Excelent!

Pros: This remote is perfect for Windows Media Center, it does control all functions, all buttons work flawlessly. Additional to that, it works with XBMC/KODI, you are not able to re-program the buttons and not all buttons will work outside of WMC but the play/pause/stop/fast forward/rewind, UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT, ENTER, OK, Clear, Back, Vol Up/Down Channel Up/Down do work in XMBC. I am very pleased.

Cons: No software t o help configure/re-program the button actions.

Other Thoughts: For $15 bucks I couldn't be happier.

1 out of 5 eggsLimited range

Pros: Showed up quickly

Cons: Range on this remote/receiver turned out to be much less than expected. Once about 15 feet away from the IR receiver remote doesn't function consistently.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works right out of the box

Cons: Died after a year and a half, so basically just out of warranty.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for -- the remote works better than I expected it to. I can't say if I love or hate anything about it. It's a MCE remote. It was used daily for over a year.

Eventually the wireless receiver gave out. It performed as well as one could expect.

I'm only deducting a point as I wasn't wow'd it's not really 5 star, but a solid 4. Lasted longer than I expected, really. It was used and abused, moved around, knocked over, etc.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Everything works well with my Windows 7 Pro Thinkpad. I bought it for using while traveling with the laptop, so I like the compact receiver. The price was right.

Cons: The buttons are a bit small for my big fingers, and the layout is cramped. I'd like to see more variation in the button shapes and location, for ease of use without having to look.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works Great and is know by Logitech My Harmony remote program so I can control the PC with that.

Cons: None Known.

Other Thoughts: My HTPC seems to sleep sometimes and cant be awakened by the remote, but I don't think its the fault of the remote and dongle. A double click of the PS2 Mouse doesn't wake the computer either.
