5 out of 5 eggsVery Handy

Pros: Stated refurbished, but other than the fact that I had to download the software from the internet rather than having an installation disc, the unit appears to be virtually brand new. Set-up was simple as long as you know the model numbers of your units to control. Refurbished price was best deal I could find.

Cons: None yet

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Remote!

Pros: This remote removes the need for having almost any other additional remote. Has a decent range, ability to create profiles, and is easy to setup via your PC/Laptop using a USB cable.

Cons: None that I know of! So easy to use, even my mother, who is digitally disabled, was able to easily and intuitively figure out how to use it.

Other Thoughts: I bought this a year ago from somewhere else. It was refurbished and still works today. I am surprised to see a few people buy it from here and have problems, but I assure you that if the remote is working properly it is a life saver for the technically handicapped and a pleasure for power TV/media users. Made a great gift, don't regret it one bit.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad... but probably not the best out there.

Pros: Looks nice, Feels nice.

Cons: Buzz noise while LCD is on and its on cradle (only for a few seconds until the LCD turns off). I have had a freeze or two. Pain to update (with the RF extender)

Other Thoughts: I grabbed this as a refurb, and was pretty worried after reading all of the horrible reviews on it. I have had a couple small troubles / frustrations but all in all I would say its a pretty good remote. I also have an 880. I think if I were to splurge again I would go with a 900 or a high end (non-logitech) remote.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA product / no manufacturer support

Pros: Could not tell you cause it does not work 1 day out of the box

Cons: Does not work (white screen)

Other Thoughts: A product should not be sent out as re certified and then die within 24 hours.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Awesome purchase from newegg! I recieved this item new in the box with all of its items. Out of the box this remote was easy to setup and use. I like how light it is it looks heavier in the photos and it is well balanced. The screen is large enough that you dont have to squint as well.

Cons: Only con I can think of is that the software is not included in the box however there are instructions in the box to down load it from the logitech site so not a real big problem.

4 out of 5 eggsdecent

Pros: Works with all my devices, even my Olevia TV most universals dont work with. Have a closet setup with the RF extender so you see nothing but the TV on the wall, really opens up my living room.

Cons: They tried to make it too easy. That made it hard to manually configure the buttons for my devices. Multiple screens to scroll through to find buttons can be a bit annoying. I purchased the refurb, first one that came was DOA, second one works great

1 out of 5 eggsGood Effort - Poor Execution

Pros: Fantastic concept. Easy to use. Large illuminated buttons. Completely customizable.

Cons: Product requires a web connection to update. Updates fail regularly. Tech support begins from the moment you creat an account and program the remote. ONLY 90 days. The remote fails to sync w/ the PC on reboot and fails to work. Have contacted customer service numerous times to get a remedy. I even requested an RMA and was told that a tech would call within a coupla days. It now been about 3 months. I was willing to pay for the repair if necessary. Still no word from Logitech.

Other Thoughts: You're taking a risk when updating this remote especially if it is over your warranty period. No email address. The repair feature built in to the software (if thats what you want to call it, will put you in an endless loop without a solution. VERY frustrating. No phone support. Logitech has fallen on their sword on this one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Remote - simplifies life.

Pros: This is a good price-performer compared to the $1000 all-in-one remotes supplied by the high-end home theater boutique shops. Setup is simple: the software downloads the latest product information about newest tvs, receivers, DVD players, even odd boom boxes or Bose wave radios. You then tell it the model numbers of all your equipment. It does the rest. Simple to use, perfect for the person who hates using multiple remotes.

Cons: If your house cleaning person uses the old remotes on your equipment instead of the Harmony, then its easiest to manually turn all equipment off before using the Harmony again. Then use as usual with the Harmony. Rarely, the Harmony needs to be re-booted: simply take the battery out for 10 seconds, plug it back in, wait a minute for it to reload itself, then its fine again.

Other Thoughts: This $199 is a great price!
