5 out of 5 eggsGreat Remote

Pros: -Great feeling remote. Going from my former DISH 6.4IR remote, it's great to have a lighter, thinner remote that's smooth and feels great in the hand.
-LCD display took a bit of getting used to, but now I love it and it's not a hinderance at all once you've learned the remote. Checking your current functions is very easy at a glance and it definitely boosts this remote beyond others without needing a load of extra buttons.
-This remote controls everything I've tried it on, including things it doesn't "officially" support thanks to its learning capabilities. On that note, making a one-for-all custom setup has made this my favorite remote of all time. Just because it's set to, say, Satellite doesn't mean it has to control just that device. This also allows you to skip using the "my activities" bit if that bothers you.
-Backlit buttons glow a light orange color that is perfect in the dark as it's not overly bright and therefore not blinding.
-Even controls my Xbox 360!

Cons: -Long initial setup time. Unlike most remotes, you don't enter codes to make this one work. Also, once you've set the remote up for your devices, Logitech's software really pushes for you to use its "activities" functions which I didn't care for. Basically, these functions set your TV to X input then sets the remote to Y device to be controlled while maintaining volume controls for whichever device you choose. While seemingly useful at first, I find the functions to be more problematic and clunky than necessary. For example; it's just as simple to power on your devices individually, then have one master set of controls to do anything you'd ever need.
-Also of note; when initially going to Logitech's site for setup, they send you to their web-based version of the software. While decent, it lacks features that the downloadable version has. The downloadable version has to be searched for and isn't just at the forefront during setup as a second option.

Other Thoughts: With the cons above in mind, they aren't nearly enough to even dock a single egg. I've never experienced the issue another reviewer spoke of with the remote rebooting itself, either (though it seems easy enough to fix via adding a small piece of foam or tape over the batteries to make them more secure).

Once you're into the software for this remote and program your own set of customized functions, there's little to no need to swap between specific devices. Disabling the auto-light function has made battery life more than adequate and the software also gives you a choice on how long the LCD and backlight stays on after your last button presses.

In all, like I previously stated; this has replaced all of my remotes and is by far my favorite universal I've owned or handled. I can see where setup may seem complicated and cumbersome for some, but as I've said; once it's set it's quite the awesome little device.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Supports everything I have - Onkyo, Sony, Alienware, Toshiba... I use shortcuts for PVR controls I use often like, DVR, search and many others so I do not have to flip through screens. Automatic updates are awesome.

Cons: Nope.

Other Thoughts: I have used other Logitech remotes and like them but so far in the no RF remotes this is the best.

1 out of 5 eggsDissapointed...

Coming Soon!

Pros: - Supports 5 devices.
- Has the red/yellow/green/blue buttons for DVR/BluRay/Etc. capabilities without needing to set them up under the 'special function buttons on the LCD area.
- When turned off, the LCD shows the next two activities right there which is nice.
- Comfortable to feel, good button placement
- Lights up every time the remote is moved. No need to find a button.

Cons: - the 'help' feature automatically tries to advance the input. My older 680 and 659 did not do this unless you choose that during the help procedure. In my case, it rotates through the HDMI inputs every time I press help (usually cause I dropped the remote before the radio turned on...). Then I have to cycle through all of the inputs again.
- Auto-Light function will burn through batteries faster.
- Has ultra-thin (not conventional) Micro-B type USB plug requiring me to keep an extra cable around just for it. Perhaps more devices will use this cable some day but right now none of mine do. For me that's a huge inconvenience with no real benefit.

- Most importantly; this remote is SUPER sensitive. I'm not sure if they simply have no capacitance on the battery system or if this remote has an actual flaw but the slightest bump and it reboots itself. See the video for an example. My other remotes you could throw across the room and they wouldn't reboot unless the batteries came out.

Other Thoughts: The video is the remote dropping from 1 foot onto a soft chair showing evidence of how easily it reboots itself. This is why I docked 3 eggs (1 egg for the help input auto-change issue). The rest of the cons really are trivial for what otherwise would be a fine product.

The remote is so sensative that slipping out of your hand onto your lap can be enough to cause it to reboot. If it's just the battery moving causing a micro-second lapse of power and the thing has no capacitance to handle it; it might be a really simple fix for a nickle's worth of capacitor and time but... If it's something else internal (or possibly just a bad unit on my part)...

Anyhow, I'm going to contact Logitech about this and see if/what they say.
