1 out of 5 eggsToo slow to call functional

Pros: Item works as described, although nothing is said about its speed.

Cons: It is slow, not as customizable as I'd like.

Other Thoughts: The only reason I bought this is because I wanted to be able to quickly turn my entertainment devices to AirPlay mode, streaming music from my phone, and I wanted to be able to do it without having to walk to my living room and turning everything on. The problem is that all of the device data is stored on my phone, not the Harmony Link. This means the PHONE has to send the signals one by one to the HarmonyLink and I have to wait for each of them to be sent.

In addition, there is no way to tell app that I don't want it to remember the state of all of my devices. The activity I use it for switches all of the inputs to AirPlay configuration. Well, last week I used it to set up my system to play AirPlay, but when I turned it off, I used my Harmony 650 remote (which works great, highly recommend). So, if today I want to turn on AirPlay, the app thinks it is already on, refuses to send "turn on" signals since it never turned anything off, and I have to tell the app to turn everything off so that it knows what state my devices are in, wait for all the signals to be sent, then tell it to start the AirPlay activity and again wait for all the signals to be sent, THEN, I can turn on my music and start it streaming. So, basically, this thing is useless to me.

1 out of 5 eggsNot recognized as a USB device

Pros: None

Cons: Tried in many computers and with different cables. Not recognized as USB device so I can't program it.

3 out of 5 eggsGood start

Pros: The unit had no issues controlling the devices that did work. I've had interference issues with other devices (RF-20), none of that was present here.

Cons: This remote has several problems:
- You can't control the on/off options. When you switch "activities" it insists on turning on (or of if it's already on) anything that's not in the "activity." This causes problems if you have devices that don't have dedicated on and off IR codes (most devices).
- At least one of the code bases included with the device does not work. The Nyko PS3 IR remote interface was included in the database but did not work at all when programmed.
- Changing between activities is painfully slow. 10-30 seconds after pressing the button, the Link changes the inputs/turns devices on/off.
- Programming it was annoying. It requires IE, to program. It also requires you to visit a website to program it.

Other Thoughts: I returned it. Not only did it not control all my devices, the delay between switching "activities" was unbearable. Had everything worked perfectly, I would have seriously considered keeping it, even with the drawbacks that not having physical buttons presents. (ever tried changing the channel on a touch screen without looking at the remote?)
