4 out of 5 eggsGoing Strong

Pros: Having replaced 5 remotes for over 3 years the battery still lasts more than a week, almost two. Once its set up its great.

Cons: Minor dead pixels from frequent use. Programing for comcast is still odd with power on/off

Other Thoughts: Its one of the best remotes I've had especially considering I use it to control XBMC etc.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Highly configurable. Operates every devices in our living room (TV, Cable Box, Xbox 360, HTPC running XBMC, Stereo). Each activity has its own set of button controls. The "1" during "Watch TV" operates the cable box while it does a special command with the HTPC. Has ability to delay for specified time between actions (i.e. between powering on the TV and switching the video input).

Cons: Navigating the configuration program requires getting used to but has a lot of capabilities. Powering down an activity with 3+ devices takes a few seconds so you have to keep the remote pointed at the devices for a couple seconds or the infrared-based units may not get turned off. Powering off devices by hand can get the remote confused and it will perform the opposite task (but is easily fixed by the remote) if the device has only a "power toggle" function and not separate "power on" and "power off" functions. A longer battery charge would be nice but it does last several days still, even after two years in service. Requires internet connection and online account to store configuration settings (this is both good and bad, IMO).

Other Thoughts: Have owned ours for almost two years and it has done a very good job of keeping the three original remotes nicely tucked away out of sight.

Have had one call with Logitech Support and they did help me for quite a while (45 minutes?) to determine the root cause issue with connecting to their device database.

1 out of 5 eggsLCD Screen died after 4 months

Pros: Touch Screen, easily programmable through user friendly software, many devices supported

Cons: LCD Touch Screen suddenly stopped working after four months of use and I'm very careful with my electronics. Logitech's customer support is no longer any good, they used to replace items with no questions asked when under warranty. That is no longer the case. Avoid Logitech products from here on out, the main thing that made them worth the money was the previously awesome customer service. Since this is no longer the case, look elsewhere.

Other Thoughts: I have been buying Logitech products for many years and have always been very satisfied anytime I needed to call the customer service line for warranty replacement or support. This is no longer the case and I will let everyone know that will listen that there are other products that are just as good for less money now that they have changed their warranty replacement policies.
