2 out of 5 eggsItem looks nice, but won't connect to my computer

Pros: The remote looks to be in good condition but

Cons: I can not get it to connect to my Windows 7 laptop. I tried 3 USB ports that all work with other devices (including a Logitech mouse fob).

5 out of 5 eggsRefurbished with Logitech = New

Pros: - With the ability to plug it into a PC and program the remote how you like it, the Harmony 650 is very flexible. Logitech doesn't even require you to install bloatware to program the Harmony.
- Upgrading from a Harmony 300, this thing looks, feels, and operates ten times better. My entire family uses the remote, and even the least tech-savvy persons handle the remote easily as long as you program it for them.
- Back-lit buttons allow the remote to be used in the dark. No more turning on lights just to find a channel number. The buttons themselves let you know when they have been pressed by giving some haptic resistance and a quiet *click* sound. The buttons themselves feel smooth and distinguishable.
- Even though it was "refurbished," the remote came like new. No physical blemishes and no problems.
- The tiny LCD is a great feature. Buttons next to the 4-tile screen allow corresponding actions. Through a PC, you can pick and choose which Commands you want displayed on the screen. You can even name it how you like, simplifying the technical terms for other users.
- Can control up to 5 devices. Currently I use it for a Samsung 40" LED, a Samsung wireless Soundbar, and TWC Cable box. One click of the "Watch TV" Button and all devices turn on correctly. To add new devices, all you need to do is find the S/N of the devices, doing away with putting in long and frustrating codes.
- Can have multiple pages of commands on the LCD with corresponding Activities or Devices.
- The silver finish is attractive.

Cons: - The remote lacks some commands that I'd like to see. There is no easy return button on the LCD so you can't get back to the original Activity without a few button presses.
- No physical Live or List buttons on the remote. I had to program them in through the LCD. It wouldn't hurt to put those two rather universal buttons on the remote.
- From what I could see, you cannot change the Devices' names. Only their serial codes come up, so you cannot name the "UND4300" just "Sound Bar."

Other Thoughts: This remote simplifies using a TV. It is great for people who are sick of using three remotes just to operate a TV. The LCD alone is a sweet feature that doesn't take much getting use to. I would recommend this remote to anyone, though some very basic technical people might have difficulty first setting it up. (I'm sure Logitech can help.)
The remote was cheap because of refurbishment, but it came like new.

1 out of 5 eggsGot Bit!

Pros: Great dog chew toy, terrible remote!

Cons: None, arrived all chewed up by the previous owner's dog or wolf!

Other Thoughts: Even the battery compartment has many teeth marks, I don't know how this passed as a refurb with this type of physical damage, and it is DOA! No more refurbed NE products, maybe no more NE at all!

1 out of 5 eggsDissappointed

Pros: Feels good in hand.

Cons: I bought this remote refurbished as a present for my parents but was VERY disappointed when I opened the box to find nothing more than the remote and USB cable. You have to go to the web site and download the program?! This remote is complicated enough...not including software or at least instructions makes it that much harder to use.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Deal

Pros: A really good remote, i had the first generation of this controller the 600 series, but for the last 5 years and now wow really nice and paid for a quarter of the price since this time.

Cons: It's recertified, so i would like to know if i have a waranty for the remote... no box, no paper... thanks

Other Thoughts: Really Fast Delivery, Newegg your the best
