3 out of 5 eggsThe camera's browser interface software has problems, bugs in it

Pros: Works with Linux but only with Oracles java JRE & JVM
High resolution real time live video viewing and pictures from motion detection.
Night Vision is high resolution and IR illumination of the entire field of view is excellent - superb.
Remote access works great with dyndns and router port forwarding setup correctly.

Cons: The Major issue with this camera is this: you cannot download the recorded videos from the SD card remotely through the web interface. The web interface has a SD card file manager option which is documented in the manual. You can see the files on the SD card. The file browser correctly lists all the directories and files but upon clicking on a file a link to download it is not created. Even though this is documented in the manual that upon clicking this link you will be able to download your *.mp4 file. The link is actually this: "void(0);" . This is software development and QA failure.
Another software issue is the FTP directory path, it is only 30 characters in length. I had to create a symlink or mount point on my VPS so that i could even use the FTP even server feature of this camera. These are some dumb software mistakes, how did this pass Q&A?. The Web interface appears to be a combination of CGI and ASP. The file browser which does not work is written in ASP. In regards to the SD card file downloading issue I did contact their tech support which was somewhere in the Philippines or India, they explained that the download link to files on the camera's SD card works only on the local network. I think this is not the case, but i cannot confirm this because my camera is installed at my place in Europe and i am currently in the USA. To work around this issue I plan to set up a samba sever on my VPS (this should be setup through a VPN for security issues). The samba server will function as a network server where videos can be recorded to instead of the SD card on the camera.

Other Thoughts: If Trendnet ever releases a new firmware that corrects these issues i would give this camera 5 stars.
