Very Competitive Camera
Pros: Great picture both day and night. Mounting hardware is good and the WiFi connection is strong. It drops the video occusionly but comes back fairly quickly. Sound from the camera is excellent. The cost is pricey but you will not find other manufactures giving 1280x800 video, ptz and motion and event abilities with the wireless format yet. THIS CAMERA DOES NOT SUPPORT Windows Mobile WITH ANY APPS OR TECH ASSISTANCE.
Cons: Tech assistance is out of India and you will have to describe the tech problem several times before they pin down the concept of what your saying. There are over three different ways to install this camera. Some programing is in the internet address 192.168.1.xxx and some program options you will find in the computer software SecureView Pro. Finding where it is storing video files is a nightmare and you can not delete them directly through the software. All camera help is online not in the software and it is really vague.
Other Thoughts: The gear motor makes a lot of noise. But the audio is excellent. However you can NOT talk through the camera. India tech told me I had to attach a amplifed external speaker for this to work. The PTZ control is not on the same dropdown software page as zoom. The software is good its just not tied together within the icon you would expect.

Pros: Great picture quality, very good range of movement side to side and good vertical range. In good light, it has a nice color picture, it automatically changes to grey scale when the light gets dim. Has infrared for picture in darkness, picture quality is understandably lower quality in infrared mode. Built in microphone and includes line out 3.5 mm jack for connecting external speakers.
Cons: It is larger than I expected, but I still plan to get another one because of the great picture quality and white color that blends in pretty well with my interior wall color.
Other Thoughts: Bought from another vendor before Newegg started selling this item.

Love The Upgraded features
Pros: I became interested in this camera after another TRENDnet model was put out to pasture. I'm glad I waited. It had all the features of that model and then some like slowing down the shutter to get a better image at night. The 672WI has that but also IR for night vision. However, you can opt to have it set to "Always Day," "Always Night," "Auto," or "Manual" which places a night vision icon on the live view page which allows you to toggle night vision at will. When night vision is enabled or disabled you hear a click which I think is the filter engaging or disengaging. TRENDnet has an emulator on their website for many of their new models--I encourage you to try it.
Cons: In my opinion this is a major oversight on the part of TRENDnet: when an email is sent the MAC address is included in the subject line. Hello??? I'm no security pro but why would this need to be included?!? This could be a serious security implication. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!
Other Thoughts: Overall this is a worthy upgrade to the 602 and 422 series. The addition of new features is impressive. I had to take away two stars for the glaring oversight (or thinking it was ok) to include the MAC address in the email subject line. Fix it and I'll revise my review to five stars.
