A free App for mobile devices brings live video to smart phones and tablets.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Low Cost Camera

Pros: Very easy install With win 7 64 bit. Great wired service,Resolution & audio great with wired. Software is very easy/functional. For a baby monitor or in house security wireless is great too!
The value is a no brainer. For the money it,s superb!

Cons: I hooked up outside on my front porch. About 50 feet from my router (in a modular home lots of metal) I got great video night & day But the audio was IFFY!. But for what i,m doing with it (Watching the porch it,s great)

Other Thoughts: For the money and ease of use. The average tech. person can get this up in running in no time for a great price. I have already recommended to a friend
All this was tested with a tp-link N750 (4300) wireless router and a trendnet switch on a gigabit wired network.Mixed wireless.

4 stars for the wireless audio Which i suspect is latency issues over wireless?

5 out of 5 eggsSuper easy

Pros: This camera was so easy to set up. Install the software from the CD. Then you MUST connect the camera to your network with wired connection first (to get firmware update). The software will prompt you to download the firmware. After that it is smooth sailing. Easy interface. Just select your wireless network and its pass phrase and your good to go. Took 10 minutes from start to finish. These cameras could be really handy. I'm going to play with the motion detection. The smartphone app took 10 seconds to set up..

Cons: None yet

5 out of 5 eggsSurprised and Impressed

Pros: Very intuitive and easy to use. The setup wizard is flawless and worked like a charm, once i finished the installation, which only took 5 minutes, I was able to use the application on my phone from anywhere to see exactly what the camera was seeing. The Android app I used from them as well was easy to obtain and also worked as it was meant to. I have a fairly small home and when i was as far away from the router as possible, I still had a solid connection.

Cons: -No Infrared Sensor, makes nighttime viewing hard to make out at times.

Other Thoughts: The unit itself is pretty big and white, not good for incognito surveillance. However this would be good for a baby monitor camera, a camera for the front door of your house, or anywhere you would want the camera to be seen.

The delay of the camera on the app for your phone is about 3-5 seconds in my case at least. If you're viewing it locally on a computer on the network, the delay is much lower.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera!

Pros: -Using the TRENDnet Cloud, you are able to remotely keep an eye on things using your smartphone (via TRENDnet CloudView app), or any computer with an internet connection.

-It can really come in handy if you need to check on your children, pets or property while you are away. It even works well as a front door camera if you often work in a back office at your home (as it has a microphone and you can interact with your company as needed).

-Connection was very simple using the setup wizard that comes on the installation disc.

-Optional Ethernet Connection (Cord included in package).

-Upto 4x Zoom available.

-Microphone!

-Vivid colors, everything was very clear.

-Position camera takes on stand is adjustable

Cons: -Although you can see by looking at the picture here on Newegg, when I first received the camera, I had difficulty setting it up on the stand. Everything else was very simple.

Other Thoughts: -When I seen it was 640 x 480 Resolution I assumed the quality would be terrible, but on the contrary it's actually very clear and perfect for it's task(s).

-I was very pleased with this item and enjoy the comfort of monitoring my house while I'm away. The "cloud" feature is a very unique and enjoyable feature.

4 out of 5 eggsGood wireless camera for daytime

Pros: Camera:
- Easy to setup and configure if you have WPS on your wireless router
- Reliable & packed with features
- LED lights on the front can be turned off if needed
- Cloud service can be turned off if needed
- Can be viewed from the internet or the "cloud"
- Can be viewed from a smartphone, Android or iOS
- Can be hard wired or Wireless

SecurView Server Software:
- Ability to manage 32 different TrendNET cameras
- Motion detection & scheduled recording
- Camera can be viewed full screen & includes digital zoom
- Manages disk space on multiple disks & allows overwriting if it gets full
- Internal or External Audio Recording
- Includes a WatchDog service to restart the software or computer if there's a problem.

TRENDnet CloudView (Smartphone App):
- Manage & view/hear multiple TrendNET cameras
- Ability to take a save a photo from the camera to your smartphone
- Digital Zoom
- Easy to use

Cons: Cons:
Camera:
- Needs to be hard wired via an Ethernet cable to update software and I couldn't update the software (firmware) using Firefox. I had to use Internet Explorer.
- Can't focus the lens, so objects farther than seven feet are blurry.
- No wireless strength indicator.
- Power adapter cord length is short--about four and a half to five feet long.
- Internal Microphone has a lot of static.
- No assembly instructions included. You have to look at the picture on the box and guess how the mount fits on the camera.
- Needs to be initially setup using the program on the CD. Don't lose the disc!
- MAC users have to download the camera setup program. It's not included on the disc.
- Setup software doesn't tell you the IP address of the camera. You have to use the URL initially to get to the camera's configuration.

SecurView Server Software:
- Not intuitive to configure--the schedule recording & motion detection settings are found in the camera setup wizard. There's a lot of controls regarding compression and bandwidth control that basic users may not understand.
- SecurView Server Client has to be run as administrator in Windows Vista or greater. If it doesn't run as administrator, you'll never be able to login to the software. To change this on your desktop, right-click the SecurView Pro icon, and click properties. Then click the Advanced button, and finally, check "Run as administrator."
- Only available for Windows.

TRENDnet CloudView (Smartphone App):
-Can't record video to smartphone

Other Thoughts: Before you start to set it up:
- Check your wireless router manual to see if it has WPS
- Make sure Java is installed on your computer if you use Firefox, Chrome, or Safari web browser
- If you want images emailed to you, get the SMTP server address, port number, username and password from your email provider.
- Make sure Adobe Reader or another PDF viewing program is installed, so that you can read the PDF manual that's included on the disc.
- Open the User's Manual on the disc and follow the instructions in the manual.

Be sure to mount the camera in an area that is well lit, has a nearby power outlet, and is not far from an audible source for the best experience with it. After the camera has been setup and you can access it and see the video, you can use a smartphone or laptop as a guide to position the camera.

If you don't want to record video, don't install the SecurView Pro software. The camera itself can email or FTP still images when motion is detected or based on a schedule. You can find these settings in the configuration section after you login to the camera via the provided URL or address. If you need the SecurView Pro software, install the camera first, and then install the SecurView Pro software.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best and useful camera !!!

Pros: I heard this camera from my friend. It is very useful watching UPS delivering package to my front door when I was away.

The setup is so easy. The same as it said on the box. Just insert the CD and a couple of clicks then everything is done. The wireless connection is pretty easy as well. Pushing WPS button on camera and my router and it’s done. I also install their android app on my phone which suggested in end of installation. The only thing I need to activate the app is my camera ID and the password I set during installation. The picture is crystal clear. Now I can look at my house on my computer and my phone. I like it.

Cons: NA

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This camera works very well! But you must read the instructions.

The cloud viewing, the email notification, Droid app, motion detection all works.

The SecurView Pro Camera Software is also working very well. It is hard to setup to record, but it can be done if you read the manual.

Cons: Must read the manual.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works!

Pros: Very easy to set it up.
Free smart phone app.

Cons: The free software for the Windows computer is challenging.

Other Thoughts: I bought this camera to check on my apt when I am away. I was going to have my friend to help me set this up, but newegg shipped this camera right away and my fried was out of town : (

Decided to try to set this up on my own...arghhhh. There is not much instruction in the installation guide and the booklet simply shows you a picture to put in the CD and go from there. I just followed the messages on the screen and set it up to connect to my AT&T wireless router.

At the end, it showed a web page link to the camera and also option to create the camera icon on the desktop. I emailed the web link to my friend and he was able to see the video and surprised that I was able to do this on my own…hehehe.

Oh, there are also qr codes for your smart phone to scan and get the app for free : )

I have also installed the software for the computer to record the video and this software is like for security guard to monitor seceral cameras at the same time. Time for me to start reading the manual and figure out how to do recording.

1 out of 5 eggsTrendnet TV-IP751WC

Pros: None noted

Cons: Was not an easy installation as described in device literature. Local viewing of the camera display was not a problem, but I was unable to connect to the Trendnet cloud to view the recorded video. I contacted Trendnet online and opened a help desk ticket. Their only response was to shut down the firewall and antivirus software. This did not clear the problem so after waiting three days for an additional response from them, I called their technical support department and requested assistance. The support person was located in a foreign country which created some minor problems with communication. After several attempts at correcting some of the device parameters, the support person began telling me that everything was ok and that I would now be able to connect to the cloud to view my recordings. Despite the fact that I told her that I was still unable to connect, my session with them ended with her still convinced that my problem was resolved. I have returned the device for a refund.

Other Thoughts: This camera was purchased because it was advertised as a much easier installation that other wireless IP systems. The product packaging states "Users simply open a web browser and log into the Trendnet cloud with their unique password to view and manage this camera." This was definitely not true in my experience. The tech support was poor when problems arose. Buyer beware!

Manufacturer Response:
