3 out of 5 eggsWeak signal. Needs a antenna.

Pros: Features are great on this camera. Price was awesome at $39.99 shell shocker. Emails 6 pictures on motion detection. 3 frames prior to detection and 3 frames after and it works. Its fast.
Video on iphone is OK if you keep the resolution and frame rate down.
Setup is so easy its ridiculous. My pet monkey set it up while sipping Russian Vodka. Not really, but you knew that. I used a Mac with the download from the website. If you run into trouble google a bit.

Cons: The range of use is BAD!!!!! DUH!DUH! DUH! DUUUUH! Had this running in the same room as my ATT router. Worked perfectly. Moved it to the next room and the signal dropped like a rock. Really! it made a sound hitting the ground. Keep it in the same room as the router until DLINK decides to put a antenna on it for the $1 it would cost that I would pay $10 for. HINT! HINT!

Other Thoughts: Other thoughts go here.

3 out of 5 eggsFirst Impressions

Pros: Installs easily.
Wireless range is adequate.
Price was reasonable.
Android installation and monitoring is slick.

Cons: If you intend to monitor this device on your PC, you should note that it requires Java. At present Java is being auto-blocked by Firefox. Also, MS Internet Explorer 64 is not compatible, though Explorer 32 is compatible.

1 out of 5 eggsJust simply fails

Pros: None.

Cons: I bought 2 of these and neither of them could connect to my 2WIRE router either with WPS or by entering my network PIN. I tried calling the DLINK tech support, but got an automatic answering service that couldn't direct me anywhere useful

Other Thoughts: I gave DLINK a first try in 5 years because of the price, and it's been proven to be inferior to CISCO, LinkSys, Rosewill, etc. yet again.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Considering...

Pros: -Easy Setup
The CD provided made setting up wireless access and installing features a breeze.
-iPhone and Android
The phone features allow you to view on the go
-Hardware
The camera felt well put together and although it was plastic, it still felt like it was a solid camera

-Price
I know you're not supposed to comment on price but it's important to note that I tried these cameras first because they came in a 2 pack bundle.

Cons: -Poor Quality
The quality left much to be desired when viewing in a web page
-Browser
Viewing in the browser made things clunky and almost unusable simply because if you make changes and the browser refreshes, you have to select the settings again.

Other Thoughts: Overall I think these cameras are perfect for the novice user who isn't concerned with quality or features.

There are other camera options out there that offer more features (rotate, IR, etc.) and I would suggest pricing those first before choosing.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cameras for the price

Pros: I put 4 of these around my hours to watch a nanny we kept for our 1 and 2 yrs old kids. They are pretty simple to set up and have free Dlink access from iphone/android. its been about 1.5yrs they are all working the same as the day i put in.

Cons: Low light conditions are bad, which is ok since they are not infrared. The bundled software is not that great as well, but i have yet to come across one which is great

2 out of 5 eggsNot as good as I thought it was...

Pros: Small, cheap ($39.99 each), wifi, works, easy setup, access to camera via internet, works with ftp.

Gets back up to work after being powered off. Don't have to reconnect to router at all. FTP pic sizes were super small which makes storing them a lot easier.

Cons: ONLY max 20 fps on 640 x 480. This model doesn't work at night, practically as the day gets darker, they become more and more horrible (requires a high amount of light to work).

Other Thoughts: A bad choice as a baby cam. Sound is awful on this thing, so much noise and buzzing (mic sucks). Whenever there is motion going on, camera because really sluggish. Only good to put in places where there isn't a lot of motion going on. Would prefer if it recorded as a video rather then as pictures...Lastly beware the quality sucks.

1 out of 5 eggsPlain terrible, How far you have fallen D-link

Pros: None, terrible device. Only perk was it was wireless.

Cons: Terrible, fails to work with FTP fails to send to e-mail. It would work simply for 1 week and then utterly fail. I have not since seen a good thing after installs. Terrible terrible device. D-link use to have my respect but now it lost it all, never using D-link products ever again. Useless camera, do not buy, trust me, I know what I am doing and saying when I tell you to avoid at all cost.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy, save your time, as bad as a china rip off.

2 out of 5 eggscaution for those wanting to use wirelessly

Pros: great quality when wired to router or in close range to router with NO obstructions.

Cons: took about an hour to set up.
no wireless range.

Other Thoughts: To set this up, I started off on a Windows 7 computer, put in wireless password, kept cycling back wouldn't continue. Went to Mac, downloaded the software from dlink, wouldn't let me create a dlink account so couldn't continue. Went back to Windows 7 and downloaded updated software from dlink - worked like a charm.

The wireless range on this is HORRIBLE! I have my router in my home office which is 4 walls away from the room I wanted to put camera in. Couldn't keep a signal. So I tried incrementally moving it closer - with only 2 walls in-between, it was choppy but worked. Brought it in the same room, worked beautifully! So if you want this for a wired connection or if your router is close by, go for it. Otherwise, buyer beware. (BTW, I did try removing all interference items - cordless phones, etc. - still no improvement.) Next step is to try and move router closer to the room I want to use it in which is stupid since every other wireless device in our house works just peachy with it in the current location.

5 out of 5 eggsThese are darn good IP cameras

Pros: Small (fits behind curtains)
Wireless signal solid
Easy to set up
Can access for free with IOS and Android

Cons: Night time (essentially blind without bright lights)

Other Thoughts: This is my third unit. I have these behind the curtains looking out toward the front and rear door and this last unit will look down toward the area UPS (etc) leaves my Eggpackages. Daytime viewing, even through glass, is great. In this application an IP camera with lights gets blinded by reflections. So if you NEED night time surveillance, figure on some bright lights.

These cameras work great for daytime surveillance or
normal household indoor lighting"

5 out of 5 eggsGood quality, low price

Pros: - Inexpensive as compared to similar models
- Video and still quality is quite good
- Easy to use interface
- Painless install
- Quick network acquisition and streaming
- Multi-viewer capable
- Several nice features, to include motion detection that works well.

I pull this camera out of the box, plugged it into my network, powered it up, and immediately accessed it from my web browser. I never installed any software and still haven't even opened the user's manual. Wireless network setup was easy and range is pretty good. I have it running through two exterior walls and two interior walls over a distance of seventy feet and the transmission is flawless. I set port forwarding and I can access it from anywhere in the world now. I'm very happy with this camera.

Cons: This really isn't much of a con, but the cord is about four feet long so that can cause some issues if your power source is a little ways off. If it's only temporary, you'll probably need an extension cord. If it's permanent, try wiring it into a light fixture or something similar.

Other Thoughts: If you're going to use this in dark locations, get something else. This camera has no night vision whatsoever. It also tends to be overwhelmed by bright light so either end of the spectrum is a no-go.
