4 out of 5 eggsBack to 4 eggs

Pros: Dlink came through with RMA... Very happy they honored their warranty.

Cons: Have to have patience for good things to happen

Other Thoughts: D link sent a ticket and paid shipping to return broken unit. AND a brand new one is on its way even before I shipped my bad one back to them. They let me down, I just hope their product this time works longer. Afterall I"m not using it to be using it. I will be counting on it to monitor a little human... Thanks D-link!

1 out of 5 eggsIt died (BUYER BEWARE)

Pros: It worked flawlessly for a month. The app updated to 2.0. Worked even better than when I had first set it up.

Cons: Couple days ago I noticed it had a "red light on the PWR LED". Thinking nothing of it I rebooted it and rebooted my network. Still red. Reset the unit multiple times, nothing. It's only been 35 days since I purchased it. I was on the phone 2 times for almost 2 hours with Dlink. First representative hung the phone up on me. The second had me reboot, reset and power off the camera multiple times. He finally said their RMA department would be in touch 24-48 hours after the initial call over 2 days ago. Still no call and still have a broken monitor. I'm trying to get Dlink to honor their 1 year warranty.. Which has been impossible.

Other Thoughts: I would have another one if Dlink would take the broken unit and replace it... But I'm not sure how long this unit lasts? Has me wondering if they all last a month. I can't afford to replace them every 2 months or go through the hassles of returning them. I'll only do it once then move onto a more reliable brand after that. 1 egg for RMA, (I still give the device itself 4 when it worked)... But hey, it's a follow up review.

4 out of 5 eggsNot too bad of concept

Pros: It works very well. Wireless N is a must for it. It requires a passcode on the camera itself and your network must be locked.
The idea of using a smart phone as a monitor is great. Considering this day and age a person really shouldn't need a ton of gadgets around when the phone can do practically everything.

Cons: Very difficult to sync to the Wireless-N network. Your network may or may not see the camera, but the camera may see your network. I had to take the camera and sit it in the room with my router in order to get it to set up.
The D-link app is pretty vague. You cannot be viewing the camera and receive alert sounds. This was a bug I had to figure out. The alert notification sounds only work when you are on the main screen of the app and the sounds are enabled.

Other Thoughts: It works. I have 2 phones set up to view it. It can be controlled and viewed by both at the same time. I'm sure the app will have updates in the future to fix the few small bugs. Overall this was a good buy for our nursery. The ability to use something we have with ourselves all the time and not burden ourselves with another viewing monitor is great.
