Pros: still thinking....

Cons: Worked for 24 hrs then died everyone!
No RESET button as advertised in directions

Other Thoughts: Wow. I was real excited to give these units a try. My wife has some of our lights on the "old school" timers and it drives me nuts cause the lights go OFF/ON and the wrongs times. These units were easy to connect, configure and worked (at first). Then, less than 24hrs later there was a mandatory firmware upgrade. After performing the upgrade the unit completely stopped working. So I tried another with the same results (bricked). I called D-Link support and they were dumb founded that there wasn't a reset button on the unit(s). After putting me on hold for about 10 minutes they explained on these models you have to hold down the WPS button (which is what I figured based on other devices but I was shocked they didn't know that....AND...the instruction manual didn't as well). Newegg as usual took care of me immediately, refunding me everything, even shipping.

1 out of 5 eggsFirmware upgrade made unit unresponsive. RMA WAS ISSUED.

Pros: It worked well for a week.

Cons: All the troubleshooting guides show a reset button under the WPS button, there is NO RESET BUTTON ON THESE UNITS! Email with D-link was very frustrating. They kept sending generic links to reset the unit. They couldn't understand there was no reset hole under the WPS button. Must be a design change mid production. It took 24hrs for each exchanged email response. After the 5th email I got No response from Dlink. After 4 more days,sending 2 more emails, I told them I would contact Newegg. Then they told me to call Dlink and they supplied the number. The 1800 number told me I the number was not supported from my location. I sent another email to Dlink. Turned out I was dealing with Dlink Canada. They directed me to Dlink USA. I called the next number, talked to a tech that didn't want to hear about the last frustrating two weeks. He told me you are dealing with me now. For the next 30 minutes of holding buttons and unplugging and plugging back in while holding buttons. He deemed the unit defective. He issued a Rma. I asked about the other 3 plugs, (still in the package unopened ). He told me to open and setup but to call back when the firmware asked to install. The saga continues. I think they are going back to Newegg.

Other Thoughts: Big waste of time and frustration.

2 out of 5 eggsGood deal, bad surprise,only works with new firmware and this damaged the product !!!

Pros: Supposed to be easy setup, if would work without firmware upgrade (mandatory).

Cons: Dlink customer service, 1st tier could not resolve the issue, had to sent out to technical team which replied same day about the issue with firmware, told I will have replacement. Second day called Dlink and told me 24 to 48 hours to get costumer service call me. Frustation....
