2 out of 5 eggsGood Quality bad radio design

Pros: Nice quality materials. Decent video quality. Can use four cameras. Includes audio.

Cons: Very prone to interference. Limited range.Night vision Limited.

Other Thoughts: It's a shame that a lot of thought was put in to the quality construction and materials of the camera and receiver only to have a huge design flaw in their choice of transmission frequency. If they were able to use another such as 800 mhz or 5 ghz it may work much better. Even my wired security cameras interfered with the signal! I would not recommend the system to anyone unless they new it would be used were there is no equipment in range. I purchased mine at a local store for $59.00 and decided to keep it for something other then intended due to the cheap price.

3 out of 5 eggsCameras

Pros: The image feeds arn't too bad. being wireless and portable is great. I'd probably buy again if i needed. Comes with its own router.

I have to unplug one of my cameras because its interfering with my keyboard frequency. This is kind of frustrating as i have to plug the camera power back in when i need it. This might be avoided if the proximity of the camera isn't near your computer. Also... there was lines of interference in the camera. if you position better you might be able to avoid this. I think if you ran a vaccuum cleaner or something it'd probably produce some interference.

Other Thoughts: My keyboard is a kensington, so might compare frequencies. its impossible to play a game with the keyboard cutting out due to camera.

4 out of 5 eggsExtreme interference, wireless is useless.

Pros: Complete package:
2 cameras auto switch to night vision 12 Infra-red LEDs
1 receiver & video/audio cable, simple remote control
3 AC power modules
2 - 9 volt battery connectors for cameras

Click "Manufacturer Product Page" lower left NewEgg page for all information.

Cons: US NTSC version camera transmitter is 2mw Vs higher power 10mw PAL version.

Range less than 6 inches due to interference to/from laptop wireless on 2.4ghz and computer systems. Turning off wireless computer network didn't help.

Other Thoughts: No cheap plastic with this gear. Cameras and brackets are steel and receiver is aluminum case.

Very sensitive microphone and 4 channel selection are on camera power cords. Receiver can stay on one 2.4ghz channel or scan up to 4 cameras, 3 seconds each.

This is a first rate quality system. The cameras work great and night vision is just as good.

The wireless is a complete failure due to my 2.4ghz wireless and computer RF noise. Clip leads on antennas increased range to a few feet. I will try running RG-174 coax cable between units and get the receiver away from my computers.

As mentioned elsewhere, buy a wired camera system and not wireless. The video bandwidth (18mhz) is just too large to avoid interference with this low power system. May be OK with no computers nearby.

Too bad, because this is really a quality system.

3 out of 5 eggsnot for everyone

Pros: easy to install.

Cons: Range no more than 20 feet. Nite vision only adequate when an outside light source is availabe, ie.. porch light or pole light. Wireless computer router interferes with signal quality.

Other Thoughts: I have four of these things in use. Three outside and one inside. Limited to where I could locate them due to limited range, which is about 15- 20 feet. Everyday had to move wireless reciever antenna around to maximize signal strength. Finally, had to disconnect computer wireless router. Signal and picture quality improved. If could do over would go with wired cameras.

1 out of 5 eggsNot a good choice

Pros: Small size of cameras does make them discreet.

Cons: Range is very low for reception, only about 10 feet, 20 max from the receiver to the cameras. Colors seemed to be a bit off too. Brown looks gray, red looks like a yellow/orange.

Other Thoughts: Don't bother with wireless cameras.
