Pros: Price was right I got 2 of them for $59ea no tax and free shipping. I bought them to watch our son in his room when he is supposed to be taking a nap and the second to keep an eye on the dog when not home. 9 Months later they finally work better then when I bought them after a few app updates and firmware updates to the cameras.

Cons: Even though Edimax has attempted to improve the app and fix the other issues with the ip cams via firmware updates they are still sub par in performance. The Audio is garbled and has a significant delay when I speak into the mic to say something through the camera. I had constant problems with them losing signal and or rebooting or I had to reboot them by pulling the power....though the latest firmware seems to have resolved those problems finally BUT the app is still sub par it times out constantly is very delayed and the IR gets washed out and rendered useless when any other light source is near.

Other Thoughts: I just set up two Nest Cams at my Elderly Fathers condo to keep an eye on him and they work 1000 times better especially the app and picture clarity truthfully I plan on trying to resell these Edimax cameras and spend a little more on the Nest Cams....unless edimax can improve the performance of the app/camera and the desktop recording software.

Other Thoughts: I recently purchased three of this cameras. Two had issues right away. One could not send email alerts or detect motion, the other camera keep rebooting every hour or 2 and was unstable on the wireless network. The third camera works as advertised and is send alerts and not crashing. Very poor quality control on this model and I am disappointed in Edimax. The earlier camera I had from them was quite solid and is still running.

Pros: The camera is solidly built, confident it could withstand a drop. Mounting base is versatile and easy to use in any situation.

The video quality is great, it outperforms 1080 cameras I've used from other manufacturers. The EdiView software can link to 16 cameras and record with motion, and is completely free!

Relatively easy setup. I used the wired connection for setup, set a static IP, then connected to wireless and its worked very well. There is a noticeable drop in framerate using wireless (it's very responsive on a wired connection).

Automatic light sensor switches to grayscale and turns on IR lights, surprisingly useful video! Don't expect to make out a face past about 15 feet though.

Cons: Camera will often freeze and reset itself when it switches to IR.

Other Thoughts: I'm using one as part of a security system in a factory. I purchased a few cameras from different vendors to test them out, and this is the one I'll order more of to make a complete system. Perhaps not the best if you can fund higher end cameras / software, but for a budget system I'd say you'll be content.

Pros: Shows me what I aimed it at.

Cons: Wasn't as easy to set up as it appeared to be at first.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad buy for the discounted price I paid for it.

Pros: Good picture quality. Automatically switches to night vision. Durable Hardware. Easy Set-Up. Fast tech support response.

Cons: Manual could use a little more explanation of some features.
Cycle Recording not working. (Tech support has informed me that this is to be corrected in a firmware upgrade in mid-April 2015).

Other Thoughts: I like the fast response from Edimax tech support when I inquired about the Cycle Recording issue. They intermediately informed me that they were working on a firmware upgrade. Five eggs for owning it!

Pros: Got it as a daily deal for $70. with free shipping. Still good value at the $90. price. I may buy another to view another area, Actually works better than I expected. I think the night vision works OK, (Darren-try having a nightlight on in the room) Notifications and alerts work. Nice that I don't have to have static IP, or any special settings on my routher. Very easy to setup.

Cons: Sometimes there is a lag time, seems sometimes not as bad as others. Anywhere from 5 secs up to about 30 secs. 2-Way audio works, but a little weird to use. Hard to explain.

Other Thoughts: I don't very often write reviews, but because there is only one other, and I am pretty happy with this camera, I thought I would write this one. I agree with Darren G. on just about everything. It was his (only) recommendation that made up my mind. I have been considering the Samsung SNH-P6410BN camera and the Dropcam, this has many of the same features for much less money and no fees. I haven't tried the SD storage yet, or the monitoring areas or recording features yet.

Pros: Good picture quality for the money, 720p, Android app seems to work fine for me (EdiView II) despite all the bad reviews in the app store, and it displays the full resolution. Both sound and infrared motion detection and events (send you an email or FTP a recording) work great.

Cons: Night vision is not that bright (only 4 LEDs). Other camera viewer apps and non internet explorer browsers like Chrome only seem to be able to show a lower resolution, not the full 720p. I guess this is because they do not support the H264. My internet explorer crashes about every 15-20 minutes when displaying the live stream for some reason. The "live" stream can lag quite a bit from real time, by as much as 30 seconds sometimes. The android app is a little quirky, there is no way to remove a camera without uninstalling the app. Manual add camera to app didn't work for me, not sure how to specify internet IP without a manual add. Their app doesn't support digital zoom like 3rd party apps.

Other Thoughts: At one point I was getting a blurry picture, turns out you can twist the lense to focus it back up. I am hoping there is some way to
