4 out of 5 eggsStolen Camera?

Pros: It's great for what it does.

Cons: So this $250 camera stores up to 2 weeks of video internally. That's great. But it's not going to help if someone rips the camera off the wall and walks away with it before video is downloaded off of it.
I would say that this is a major problem.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Video

Pros: Clear and crisp videos during the day. At night, the night vision works great up to about 30 feet and it would work even better if I had a street light nearby to illumunate the street, oh well I quess I can't have everything.

Cons: The Logitech Add-On 700i camera doesn't have night vision, so I can't observe the front door thru a window at night. I also notice that the 750e camera motion detector trips quite often at night due to bugs flying around the camera.

Other Thoughts: I haven't tried the email alert function or the online web browser, but with the bug problem at night my phone would be alerting me constantly of motion detected. So, I don't plan on using that feature anyway.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: Have not been able to make it work yet. I've lost faith in these reviews. The high scores must be faked and submitted by the company.

Cons: Everything. It claims no additional wiring required, that is a lie. Too many requirements and problems to mention.

Other Thoughts: Got ripped off.

2 out of 5 eggsgreat view, unreliable remote viewing

Pros: The video quality is excellent even when subject is moving. Easy setup and configuration. Great if you want to store video on local HD and view with a PC on the LAN.

Cons: Remote access is totally unreliable, both using web browser and especially iPhone app. Most of the times I need to see what's going on the camera doesn't show up or I get a "503" error which I see reported on the forum almost a year ago, still not corrected. For security purposes with remote alerts and viewing find something more reliable.

Other Thoughts: using AC power line to send video between camera and router is great if you plug everything into one circuit breaker. Most homes have different rooms on different circuit breakers which requires you to buy POE router. Wifi would have been much easier to use.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Great picture even at night. Clear, crisp picture, good sound, night vision is greats, I would recommend this for business or home. The way this thing networks is great and simple to hook up. No cables to run across your house. Fantastic product!

Cons: None I am very happy with this purchase.

Other Thoughts: Have yet to have it during a winter so it should be interesting how it holds up. I am not a security camera buff and I very very happy with this camera. The only thing I would change about this camera is to implement some kind of ability to move the camera angle. That would make this camera amazing!

I even caught some things on this camera that allowed me to prove guilt with no denial of who the person was.

4 out of 5 eggsBugs are attracted to IR at night

Pros: Everything others have said is true about ease of use, great pic quality, etc

Cons: Spiders and other bugs love infrared light. I live in a typical California suburb with some trees. Lots of false triggering (5 second threshold and 20% sensitivity settings) at night. I hope things get better once summer is over and bug activity reduces.

5 out of 5 eggsA Little Pricey But It Works

Pros: A friend of mine uses two of these at his store to monitor the parking lot. I was visiting one night when the camera started and we saw a kid get on my motorcycle and tip it over. 850 pounds went crashing over and did $1700 worth of damage. I found the kid from the video, filed a police report and complaint and the father of the kid was made to pay my $250 deductible. The camera works and it works good, good enough to see the kids face for identification. If you are not tech savy, buy this, it's a simple installation. So easy even a store owner can do it!

Cons: It's a little pricey but what Logitech stuff isn't but it's high, high quality with great support.

Other Thoughts: I was going for the parents of the kid to pay for two weeks car rental while my motorcycle was in the shop but I didn't get it :( I was going to upload the video but I didn't have it when I wrote this review.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy to use - for the most part

Pros: Very easy to set up and get working. Good image quality and colors in daylight. Works well remotely from a laptop.

Cons: Night vision capability is limited. I don't believe that the IR emitters put out enough light to illuminate the darkness very far from the camera. It's fair for about 10 feet.
Remote access does not work (as advertised) with an Android phone, specifically the HTC Thunderbolt model. Their tech service says it's a known issue, but it's not clear when it will be fixed. This is a big issue for me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat System!

Pros: Easy install. Power plugs simplify camera install by using house wiring for camera communication. Software is intuitive and has been rock solid since the latest update.

I couldn't be more pleased with this system. It works exactly as advertised and is 100% reliable. The picture quality is awesome and the sound is very clear. You can hear a whisper, it's that good. The picture quality at night is great however motion leaves a little to be desired. People walking will cause ghosting but when they stop you have an extremely vivid picture of them. The cameras love darkness. The whole viewing area lights up like it was day.

My cameras have been running for over 3 months now with no disconnects. Viewing my cameras on the web and viewing with my Android phone both work great.

To the people having issues it’s a shame your experience hasn’t been as good as mine. These cameras are truly amazing for the price. If your having issues call Logitech support.

Cons: Not really a con since Logitech support helped me fix the problem.

Within the first couple weeks I encountered a problem where the cameras would randomly disconnect. Logitech customer support solved my problem. I had originally installed the main power plug into a Netgear switch. Logitech customer support said the switch can confuse the cameras and that I should install the main power plug into my router where my cable modem is plugged in. At that point the cameras can be accessed from any computer in my house via wireless or cable connection. Before I thought the phone app and web viewing was flakey. Now it works all the time.

Other Thoughts: Once the cameras are configured you no longer need a computer. The video records to a micro sd card in the camera. You do NOT need a computer running to view your cameras online or with the phone app. I leave a computer on 24/7 so the recordings get backed up and in the morning I can quickly review the timeline. I did not buy the web or phone app subscription ($80 per/year) as I don't need the additional camera setup or configuration features online or on my phone. You can still receive email notifications and view your cameras online or on your phone without the yearly subscription. The whole system is awesome. I set my brother up with a very similar system driving 3 cameras and it works perfect.

Avoid plugging power plugs into extension cords if you can. Also, don’t plug cameras into a ups or power strips. The cameras do have built in surge protectors. If you’re having issues with the system I suspect your setup is not optimal or maybe you are doing something out of the ordinary.
