Rosewill RSCM-12001 640 x 480 MAX Resolution RJ45 Wireless N Internet IP Camera

Pros: Decent camera for the price. The audio is subpar, but you can't really expect that much for this price.

Cons: Unless the camera is a few feet from my wireless access point, the connection constantly drops, then reconnects. Sometimes it will work for hours, then suddenly, it'll stop broadcasting.

A power cycle sometimes fixes the problem, sometimes it doesn't.

Other Thoughts: I'm hoping that it's just a bad camera. I'm considering purchasing two more for their combo price of $80.

Cons: This item takes you back at least ten years. Do you remember the very first router you tried to set up? Difficult to set up. Instructions are vague. We are in a world where plug and play and smartphone syncing are norm.

Pros: Does exactly what I need it too - tell me if I remembered to shut my garage!

While setup was simple, some tech knowledge is very beneficial.

The EagleSense mobile app works flawlessly and was easily installed to an Android & iPhone.

The range on the device amazing, the garage is about 100 ft away, and the signal must go through 2 internal walls and 2 brick walls.

Cons: No interface to shut my garage if it is open (:

Other Thoughts: This is an ideal device for indoor lit monitoring.

Pros: Once it's configured, I can just plug it into any outlet in the house and it just starts working. Decent price.

Image quality is not too bad. The mount it versatile. The LEDs can be turned off.

Cons: Took me a few tries to get it set up properly. Software is a little bit clunky. Too big for hidden installations.

Cons: Provides C4MI.com as a hosting site, which wont allow for audio streaming
The app (eagleeye) has little to no options.
The Setup / direct IP viewing uses java, so android devices can only access some features

Other Thoughts: It seems like a cool idea, But they just don't provide any alternatives for internet viewing. The site provided doesn't allow you to stream audio, and the android app (eaglesense) for viewing the feed from the site has no real options.

I can view the camera through my computer with audio, and my Nexus 7 without audio, as long as it's on my internal network. I can't access the camera comfortably from another network.. So I ll still use the camera for the time being. But I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a security camera or a camera they can view while away from the house.

Instructions direct you to C4MI.com for setting up the camera for internet viewing. Which is not quite so easy.
C4MI.com is very limited, and doesn't stream audio
The cameras setup / direct network viewing page uses flash, so newer android devices cannot use all the features.
The android app for C4MI (eaglesense) is pretty terrible.

Pros: - Easy to setup
- Connected to Wireless n without problems
- Better to reserve MAC address with IP address in router first then locate in IE, Firefox or Safari (don't use port with IP address on initial setup)

Cons: - Limited setup with Mac OSX, could not set motion detection
- Proprietary software. Unable to view remotely or setup with other programs

Other Thoughts: - Didn't realize how big the square camera was
- Installs JAVA and you have to sign in again with same ID and pwd

Pros: does what i wanted... i had a break in... i knew who it was that stole my samsung 32" tv... but... no proof... now i keep my little camera going every time i leave the house... in hopes that he might be brave enough to try it again...

Cons: for the price... "none"... setup was a cinche after i added a "Rosewill rc410lx 6 port gigabit desktop switch"... works well with both 64 & 32bit win 7... don't have wireless... have it hard wired... but thinking about... maybe going wireless later on...
