You can view your SmartCam HD PRO from your mobile device anytime from anywhere in the world, giving you peace of mind. Designed for optimum performance with Full HD 1080p video quality, simple set-up and an intuitive experience, the SmartCam HD Pro provides the high caliber video experience you would expect from Samsung. The SmartCam HD PRO can be easily customized to instantly alert you to both motion and audio events so you won't miss a thing!

The SmartCam HD Pro delivers real-time notification of activity through your iPhone®, iPad®, or Android™ smartphone or tablet. It also has a built-in slot for a microSDXC memory card which allows for video storage for later review. Once you've downloaded the Samsung SmartCam app and have set up your SmartCam HD Pro, there are no extra costs or monthly fees for viewing or storage.

The SmartCam HD Pro Wi-Fi IP camera introduces many advanced features such as Wide Dynamic Range, Samsung Light Enhancer, Advanced Motion & Audio Detection, and Motion Zone Select. Each camera is equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker for crisp, clear Two-Way Talk - one more way Samsung helps you be in two places at once!

Simple Wi-Fi Setup

Setting up the device is simple and requires no use of software or CDs. Simply download the free Samsung SmartCam app for Android or iOS, available on the App Store® and Google Play®, to your mobile device. The intuitive setup wizard helps you to begin viewing your camera in a matter of minutes.

1080p Full HD Video

The SmartCam HD Pro Wi-Fi® IP camera provides up to 1080p Full HD streaming video to your mobile device, while the large 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor allows maximum light, yielding vivid colors, brighter video and stunning detail.

Two-Way Talk

Go ahead - remind your child to do her homework or tell your dog to get off the couch. The Samsung Enhanced Two-Way Talk feature lets you not only hear what's going on around the camera, but also allows you to talk back through your Smartphone, no matter where you are. A built in audio minijack that accommodates external speakers (not included) amplify and enhance the sound quality.

Advanced Motion & Audio Detection

If your pet enters an "off-limits" room, the kids come home from school, or a window is shattered, you'll be immediately notified. False alarms due to slight changes in lighting or minor movements such as a houseplant gently ruffled by an air vent, are now a thing of the past! The SmartCam HD Pro's Advanced Motion & Audio Detection recognizes that things like rolling cloud coverage, falling leaves and swaying branches are not key events. You will only be notified, through instant push notifications to your mobile device, of true motion events such as someone entering the room. And in low light conditions, audio detection has you doubly covered listening for loud incidents you should know about.

Motion Zone Select

Motion Zone Select further fine-tunes what you want the camera to pay attention to. If you want to keep your eye on the window, but the dog runs back and forth beneath it, simply draw a box around it on your screen and the camera will alert you when someone is approaching outside. You can select up to three motion zones in the camera's field of view.

Local Video Storage

Capture those important events right onto your SmartCam HD PRO. Local video storage is possible through a micro SD card slot with the ability to record directly onto a microSDXC memory card* with up to 64GB capacity. Set your camera for continuous recording, record at scheduled times, or, to minimize viewing time and storage space, record only when motion and sound events are detected. You can even view the recorded video right from your mobile device from anywhere in the world.

*SD card not included.

Email and Mobile Notification

With the Samsung SmartCam HD Pro camera, you always know what is going on, even when you're away. When your camera detects a motion or sound, you can have an instant push notification or email sent directly to your mobile device for real-time monitoring. The SmartCam HD Pro can be set up to automatically record up to thirty seconds of detected events for later review with authorities - or with the "Not Me" kid who ate all the cookies. Samsung harnesses the latest technology to bring your safety to the forefront - and maybe even solve some of "life's little mysteries" along the way.

Ultra-Wide Angle

While other cameras have constricted angles that limit your view, Samsung's 128-degree Ultra-Wide Angle lens gives you a wider view to maximize your recording coverage without compromising quality. Want to know what the kids are doing with the crayon over there in the corner? The SmartCam HD Pro puts you right there!

True Day & Night

The SmartCam HD Pro features an advanced IR Cut Filter for accurate, vibrant colors. Even in darkness, the camera provides clear, nighttime video up to 16 feet. No more need for barefoot late-night safety checks!

Samsung Light Enhancer

The Samsung Light Enhancer enriches available light in dark areas to give you superior image detail in even the most challenging low light conditions. If you wake up with the nagging feeling that you left the burner on under the kettle, a quick check from your Smartphone will put the issue - and you - to bed.

Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)

Bright light streaming through windows poses no problem for the SmartCam HD Pro. The WDR technology enhances details in backlit conditions to give you a clear view of the outside, while eliminating murky silhouettes in the foreground. So while it may be high noon outside, you'll clearly see the sheriff's star as your little cowgirl has a showdown in front of the playroom window.

1 out of 5 eggsWhere is the support?

Pros: Will do 1080P, Pretty good price for all of the features. Works well both wired and wireless.

Cons: Not supported by Chrome. Doesn't work well with Microsoft Edge. So really only works with ie 9, 8 and firefox. Had issues getting it setup. I was only able to get it setup with my Samsung smart phone. I was not able to initially set it up with my ipad ios8, or a web browser. They now work but for your first time setup it was annoying that the only app that could initially configure this device was a samsung phone.

Other Thoughts: Samsung seems to be lagging behind on keeping this product compatible with the current technology.

4 out of 5 eggsALMOST perfect

Pros: Easy set up, good night vision, very wide angle. No issues dropping wifi. Smallish size. Everything works as expected. Record to card works well. No monthly fees. Would work great in most applications. Local storage!!!!

Cons: Wifi indicator light will not stay off after a power cycle. You have to manually go back in and change the setting.

Night vision LEDs are BRIGHT! You can turn them off but then you cant see in the dark well. Not a huge fan of all of the google integration.

Other Thoughts: Going to return this and try another product - this is a quality camera - it just doesn't quite give me what i want.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome IP Camera! Highly Recommend

Pros: Good & Nice, true Color image.
Great low light performance without IR LEDs. I even can see everything in the dark with a small night light.
128 degree wide angle view. I don't even need Pan/Tilt still can cover whole living room.
2 way audio is clear and loud enough.
Low temperature when power on.
APP is very stable and interface is good.
64GB micro SD card slot is good, most of IP camera only support up to 32GB.
Never drop the line which is important.

Cons: Mine's wireless setup is fail, so I still connected to router to do first time setup.
I see a little carver of image due to wide angle view, but it is okay just like all wide angle lens view.
I only can see 720p on my iphone, but it is good enough.

Other Thoughts: I got this camera as a gift about 1 year ago. it is really good and stable until now. It never drop the signal. I think it is the most important for surveillance and security.
it just can cover every angle when I placed it in the corner of living room. The low light performance is awesome, it can capture colorful and clear image by street light during night time.
HD 720p per 15 fps on my iphone provides smooth video quality. I can see cars runs smoothly, almost no lag.
The price is not that low as many other brands, but I really love it and think it is worth for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsGood camera for simple uses.

Pros: No Fees to record or view!
HD image is pretty good.
Onboard SD storage 64GB.
Very adjustable base stand and rotational image abilities.
Several notification options including being able to set and pre-schedualed times when notifications are turned on or off via the web site.
Good Night Vision image.
Easy to set up - use the included network cable to Router first.
Ability to disable the indicator lights on the camera.
Two way talking from your phone to the camera and visa verse.
A jack for an exterior speaker for louder talking to your intruder or setting up a loud alarm sound to scare them off.

Cons: Camera is a little on the flimsy side of construction but not bad.
settings interface is not as user friendly as it could be. you have to explore a bit to find what you are looking for.
Don't try to set up the camera with the wireless option. use the network cable and select the other setup option. The as you register the camera it will give you the option to turn on the wireless. from then on you can remove the network cable and everything works as it should. If your camera stalls during setup, hit the reset button and try again. Set up is fairly fast.

Other Thoughts: I currently went with the Smartcam Pro and have been using three cameras (one of them is the (6411b) for a few months. I like having no fees to record on my cameras. Also a very handy feature is that one can pre- schedule when to have notifications turn on and off during different times of the day so you don't get bombarded with them while your home. When I leave home during the day, I can simply turn on motion notify, then turn it off when I get back home. At night the notifications are automatically enabled via the scheduler. Really no different than a keypad alarm. One camera is set to my front room, one in the back room with the slider door and then one in the garage.

You also get several options about how you receive the notification. Email , text , Picasa or Skype, phone vibrate or chime or nothing. The night vision on the camera is also very usable. I have had no issues with being able to log in and view the camera on my Droid Turbo over 4g whenever I want. I have my garage camera is set to notify me of motion via email and send me a snap shot and also record 30 seconds to the on-board SD card. I'm not worried about them taking the camera because it is enclosed in a clear dome bolted to the wall. If they do take it I will have a dozen snap shots of them in my email as they fight to remove the bolts.

3 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected.

Pros: Easy to set up. Love having the app.

Cons: The if the wifi signal isn't strong, it doesn't pick it up. Not good. Defeats the purpose of having a wirless IP camera.

Other Thoughts: I was going to look at a drop cam next. I will leave this cam in my man cave since the wifi signal is stronger there.

5 out of 5 eggsDropCam without the privacy intrusion! Works great, works with BlueIris

Pros: 1080p
Auto-focus works great
Auto-white balance is great
Works with BlueIris NVR software
Does not need 'cloud' stuff
Base is nice and comes with wall screws and anchors
Wide angle lens is great

Cons: Occasionally I get timeout errors but BlueIris is able to reconnect (in ~5-10 seconds) and the stream is restored. I see this happen maybe once a week and could also be a WiFi or networking hickup. Have had the unit running solid for over a month now without rebooting.

Other Thoughts: Seems to be on par with the DropCam in terms of features, only you aren't stuck with their cloud stuff which brings along monthly fees and also a loss of privacy.

I can't stress enough that this product works with BlueIris (excellent NVR software) as I wasn't quite sure it would.

Will probably get another unit to provide extra coverage.

I have not even tried to use the 'cloud' service so I can't review that (no desire to have other's looking into my place :P).

5 out of 5 eggsSAMSUNG SNH-P6410BN Full HD 1080P

Pros: After 2 months of experimenting, I am somewhat impressed with most of the features this little camera has to offer. I will explain in the cons and other thoughts sections

Cons: I am NOT impressed with the Google and Picasa app affiliations. I am also not impressed with some of the negative reviews that are not true if you have the proper equipment to run the camera and software successfully. I also wish they had an outdoor version of this camera. Maybe if it was properly protected from the elements it would work there also. The night time quality is not that great (not 1080p worthy)

Other Thoughts: The Samsung software, internet interface and push service to my Samsung S-lll works well. I'm using a 64gb card in mine and using it wirelessly with a signal of 4 bars of 5 through 1 wall from router d-link dir 655. With a faster connection and the necessary 1080p playback equipment, the device works pretty well. 15 days worth of motion detection only used about 5 gb on the card. You can also format the card or delete any of the items separately at any time you like. It also has a place to set 3 different resolutions on the camera tab depending on you equipment capabilities.

1 out of 5 eggsMisleading advertising, and doesn't record in 1080p

Pros: - Works well during the day
- Can access the camera directly (bypassing the Samsung website) via web browser by entering IP address
- Easy setup

Cons: - No recording to SD in 1080p
- Can stream in 1080p ONLY on the local network. If you are outside the local network, the stream is at 720p max.
- Night-time clarity is highly variable. On many nights, the image is too grainy to see, but it's clean on other nights.
- Stream recorded to SD seems as choppy or more choppy than stream over network - perhaps there's an encoding issue?
- Need to go through Samsung website to manually record. The camera's built-in web interface doesn't have the option to enable manual recording
- Has very picky network settings. My gateway isn't on the same subnet as the distributed IPs, and the firmware refused to accept the network settings
- Cannot set up the device with a static IP when connected to WiFi. The WiFi router MUST have DHCP enabled, as the static IP settings are for the wired network only.
- Clunky interface

Other Thoughts: Let me get over the pros - it works and can be quickly set up. This device is made for people who want the bare minimums for a security camera with a nice 1080p sensor.

Having said that, I am highly disappointed by the fact that the advertising is quite misleading. Even the manual doesn't state that the camera doesn't record in 1080p - it only talks about the presence of a sensor that can capture 1080p. The only time you can actually get 1080p is if you are on a high-speed network inside your own home. If you are connected to the camera from a device outside your network, good luck getting anything above 720p - even on a really high quality connection (I'm currently at 813Mbps down, 817Mbps up), I couldn't enable 1080p since the stream has to go through Samsung's servers.

What is the use of this sensor if you can't use it to its fullest?

Regarding the night-time capabilities - the camera seems to increase the gain automatically, resulting in a high amount of noise in the image. If there was more control over the image enhancement that it performs, this would be a much better camera.

Finally, it's nice that the interface can be a lot better. The web version via Samsung's website is simply slow, but I can attribute this to the fact that commands need to be sent to the Samsung server and then down to the camera. However, even if you access the firmware directly (by entering the IP of the camera in your address bar), the controls are quite slow. Furthermore, the features available by accessing the firmware are limited - in other words, you need to rely on Samsung's servers to use all available features of this camera.

Verdict - if you want a camera that works during the day and will only be streaming inside the house, this is a decent camera (i.e., this is good as a baby monitor). If you want anything else but want to retain the 1080p resolution, get a small computer (like an RPi) and hook up a 1080p webcam (The Logitech C920 + an RPi with streaming using software like VLC would be cheaper and work much better).
