Pros: I used to install these. They're not meat pounders. You touch the keys like you do a smart phone, not pound on them as obviously someone else reviewing this product did. If you touch it as it was meant to be touched it works fine. It also has a screen calibration option in case...RARELY..it loses calibration.... in 5 years I've never had that happen. I can get direct notices on my phone, weather alerts, and I can link an HD cam through it with an alarm.com account which also sends to my phone. This unit can even control your locks, temp, lights, and coffee pot with extra add on options. Panic buttons are available via keypad AND keyfaub which you can keep by your bed at night for emergencies. This thing beats the pickles out of many other home security systems, and it's all via cell communications too...which means it transmits the event before anybody can tamper with it....booom! bad guy caught.

Cons: The only con I can think of is they decided to not pour more device development into the thing... Maybe they got something even more cool coming down the pipe.

Pros: None that stand out above any other wireless security system.

Cons: My mother-in-law recently had a new home security system installed which is controlled by the 2GIG Go!Control control panel. The panel fails in one crucial regard--it is controlled by a small, low resolution color touchscreen that is of extremely low quality. Every time we have gone over to check on her cat while she is away, I have noticed that it is almost impossible to control the device using your fingers because the touchscreen either fails to register finger taps or registers them in locations far from where the actual touch was made. In fact, the touchscreen is of such low quality that she had to purchase a stylus to be able to interact with the screen, and even then it is spotty at best.

A security system control panel has only two main requirements in my mind: ease of use and reliability. The 2GIG Go!Control fails miserably in both regards due to its highly defective touchscreen.
