2 out of 5 eggsNot impressed

Pros: Simple setup. Inexpensive. Works as advertised.

Cons: Cheap parts. Setup is too simple. Not networked.

Other Thoughts: After purchasing and playing with the setup for a week, I decided I wanted a little more for home security. So I returned it and went to X10.

1 out of 5 eggsMuch to be desired

Pros: Good price.
Motion sensors are sensitive enough.
[thinking...] ... Wireless syncing works well (although the fact that they advertise the frequency just tells someone like me how to build a little RF rig to jam it...)

Cons: Instructions were terrible, even IF all the pages were in it.
The switch for the window/door alarms are on the outside of the units (easy to turn off by trespasser).
I can talk to someone over the "High-pitched" alarm (my neighbors didn't hear it and there's 20 feet between us).
Main control unit is misleading as the 10 digit keypad is only used for entering the phone numbers you want it to dial.
The code is housed in a larger window/door sensor which can only keep a 4-digit, base 4 number set.
I could only get the main unit to sync with one of the wireless motion sensors. I tried to call tech support about this problem and spent 10 minutes on hold before giving up. Then I called customer service, who answered barely within 5 minutes and they transferred me to tech support who failed to answer within 20 minutes. Called a 3rd time and waited 30 minutes to no avail. At that point, screw it -- they can take it back!

Other Thoughts: Returning to Newegg after the ordeal (see cons).

Q-See may be cheap respectively, but after seeing what they have to offer first-hand... I will never purchase anything from them again! They're just as bad as that K-World media junk. After this, I've given up on these cheap companies. Like most, I'm on a tight budget, but this hardware isn't worth the trouble.

lol, i really dont see the point in claiming "tech knowledge" on these reviews.
