4 out of 5 eggsGood camera

Pros: Has good resolution. Works well at night - nice IR range (approx. 40ft)

Probably would show a better image if I had a better DVR it was running to.

Cons: The whole assembly for the camera's settings is operated by a little toggle button, maybe a foot from the camera itself. So if I needed to adjust a setting (I didn't) I'd have to go inside, look at my monitor, then go outside, guess what I have to hit, then go back inside, see if I did it right. Annoying, but once you're done, you're done. Also, Button was too big to go through the mount hole - couldn't route the wire how I'd wanted.

Other Thoughts: In all, I rate it highly. A few foibles, but nothing earth-shattering. I will buy them again.

4 out of 5 eggsGood camera

Pros: Good video image and there are quite a few adjustments that can be made via the on screen menus. Camera appears to be well built. Only time will tell if it will last in harsh weather

Cons: The camera control pad on the cable does not fit through the top and bottom cable access holes on the support arm and there is no easy way to remove and re-thread the cable. This forces you to drill a cable access hole in the wall to mount this thing, or you must make an adapter plate out of wood. Not well thought out by the manufacturer. I took one egg off for this

Other Thoughts: Wish there was a way to turn off the night vision leds as they consume quite a bit of power. I don't need night vision.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck

Pros: Great camera for the money. Upgraded 3 Zmodo's because I needed to zoom in on parked cars in the street. CCD beats CMOS every time and the larger lens stays in color mode longer. Much better picture if you use shielded cable, I got mine at Menards 100' for $25. Zmodo power supply is sufficient.

Cons: None so far, need two people and 2 way communication to zoom and focus but this is a one time chore.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Reasonably priced Varifocal camera. Good color and picture quality as well as build quality.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Power adapter is extra and this is a good replacement for the Vonnic VCB240S also sold at Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggs5 camers for over a year perfect

Pros: Best image for the money, mounting and repositioning while up high on a ladder was the only difficult time. Wire runs thru attic were dusty and had to be planned where to come down close to where the dvr was to be positioned.

Cons: up and down ladder to get the perfect view unless you have it programmed for your ipad, which I did on my last two installations

5 out of 5 eggsBest deal on a 550 line varifocal

Pros: Great night vision with no artifacts (as cameraguy said), and good daytime image (unlike Joe said)...

Varifocal is very good for getting the angle of view you need.

550 tv lines gives a good image, although I expected a bigger improvement over my 420 tv line cameras. But still better.

The Newegg sale made for a great price just over a month ago, so I'm buying another one now, currently with a 10 buck promo code. Even without the zoom feature, the image is hard to beat at this price.

Cons: Nothing bad to say for what I paid...

Other Thoughts: The last review said they couldn't figure out what power supply to get, but they're all standard 12v, and the current rating on the datasheet says 400 ma, although the Newegg "product information page" says 700 ma, which may be an older version. I believe the box...

Also, FAMBAQU had trouble with reflections from the mounting wall, which I think all cameras with bright LEDs will have, so not just this cam.

This is one prod info page link that actually leads to the company's web page for the unit, another reason why Newegg is the best.

If I had the cash, I'd replace most of my other cams with this one.

Oh, yeah. One hint: take out the plugs that cover the adjustment holes IN THE HOUSE before you take it outside to mount it, then after adjusting, and finishing everything else, put 'em back in.

1 out of 5 eggsNo power adapter

Pros: I don't know.

Cons: This is the first camera I have ordered out of 7 that did not come with a power adapter.

Other Thoughts: I have not been able to use this camera because I'm not an electrician and uncomfortable just plugging in whatever adapters I have on hand and seeing if it works or not. I'm equally unsure of what to order since all the 12V adapters have different amperage ratings. I called customer service for more info but the rep had a hard time even understanding what I meant by power adapter so I ended up hanging up. If anyone knows what adapter I can order to make this camera work, then please let me know. No adapter has been a huge inconvenience.

4 out of 5 eggsAposonic A-cdbiv07

Pros: Wow this is a big impressive looking camera
good night vision

Cons: The picture quality is good at night but at day time it was no better than a $39.00 camera similar to one i had purchased a couple of weeks before, it left me wanting a better camera for $79.00 i expected better

Other Thoughts: It looks great, good night vision, day time picture not so good, for $79.00 it really fell short of my expectations
