1 out of 5 eggsWaterlogged at 10 months

Pros: Decent picture
Worked pretty good while it worked
Concealed cabling, so a pair of scissors won't be able to cut the dangling wires.

Cons: After 10 months there was about quarter of an inch of water inside the camera.

Other Thoughts: I noticed in my software that the camera was flickering and shorting out, so I went to check/change it out with another camera. The camera was about 10 ft in the air on the side of a building. When I took this camera down, I noticed water trapped inside of the camera. I chuckled a little as I was taking it down, because on the back side of the camera is etched "WATERPROOF". Apparently not...

3 out of 5 eggsStill good to go

Pros: Good cameras for basic security system. Good field of view.

Cons: I have an amateur radio station ( VHF ) at my house on my roof that puts out 40W. What I thought was a cable problem was actually a problem with this camera, though its not the fault of the maker of the camera.

Whenever my radio system transmits, At night, I get lines in the video. Interference. It does not make the video unwatchable however it is annoying. I thought it was a cheap coax cable because this is my second camera of this model, but even with a high quality shielded cable, the camera still displays interference from my transmitter.

Other than that no cons.

Other Thoughts: The other style camera with the big lens and IR does not suffer from this night time interference with the IR.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Sharpest $100 NTSC non-HD camera that I have used. Excellent night image, consistent IR lighting, no halos or washout at center. Cable runs through sturdy mount, no exposed wires. Aposonic support. Outperforms some cameras costing 3x.

Cons: Non-linear slightly fisheye image. Not an issue at this price.

Other Thoughts: Just bought two more. Using 16 port Aposonic DVR, currently nine cameras, this is the best image. Others are Vonic eyeball types and cheaper Aposonic. Image is equal to $300 Samsungs used at work. .

3 out of 5 eggsGOOD camera, not great

Pros: Cost, under 100$ is good. Camera mounting is easy, swivel base allows precise adjustment. Lens hood, works good during daytime hours.

Cons: Camera image quality is not HI-RES as it states on the description. It does well during the daytime, however it will not provide any detail like license plates beyond the typical residential driveway.

Other Thoughts: This camera image quality is actually a little bit less than the Aposonic A-E650 650 TV Lines MAX Resolution Sony unit that I got first. I put this one on my driveway facing the road and my two vehicles The E650 unit provides a better picture for another $35. However if you require a small camera, this camera does work well enough for me to keep it in my CCTV system. This camera faces near direct sunlight in hot Texas sun so it will be interesting to see if it can tolerate the conditions here. I would buy another one of these cameras, however its night qualities are marginal. I may use another one in my back yard. Otherwise, I will buy the larger model I mentioned before instead, unless something similar in cost/features is made available. The field of view on this camera is not real tight, not real wide. Not much distortion that I can see.
