Pros: Very reasonably priced.
Quality of image for my purposes (indoor lit) were great for the price. (I can't imagine who would buy these and seriously expect good night quality images...)
I had Swann before for years which I THOUGHT were good until I got these. And these were 1/2 the price.

Cons: Do not expect FBI 1080p quality at this price.
NOT for night or outdoor. Basic surveillance grade.

Pros: cheap, you get what you pay for and some times less.

Cons: Installed four boxes of these and they are very low quality compared to q see. Some of the camera mounts would hardly hold the camera tight. If quality is important I'd skip this.

Other Thoughts: This was the definitive test. I got a 40" LCD TV and connected the DVR and Cameras. Daylight surveillance is OK. However, I couldn't get the camera's to display in color properly. If I get the face tones right, people clothes colors are not what they actually are. Also, colors are so pale no matter what setting you have it on. Night vision is so poor and grainy. You can't discern faces except at 4-5 feet distance. At 15-18 feet, faces are not recognizable. I thought the magnification of a 40" TV should make up for the shortcomings of these inexpensive cameras, but I was wrong. I'm returning these camera's today.

For the price, and the mediocre daylight surveillance capabilities, I still give it 2 eggs though.

Pros: Camera work ok during daylight hours.

Cons: After dark, the night owl cameras (CM115) produces a very poor picture and video. You may be able to see 10 or 15 feet, you would not be able to make out facial recognition without outside lighting. The color and resolution does not change from day to night, therefore the user must manually change the color and brightness on the DVR twice per day to generate viewable video. If you use 75 ft or more of 12 volt cable, your video will be low quality. The DVR freezes up often and needs to be reset daily.

Other Thoughts: This is not a good night vision camera sureveillence system, its ok for daylight hours. I would encourage other potential buyers to save there money and purchase a better surveillence system that offers adleast 75 ft to 100 ft of night vision.

Pros: Inexpensive, came as a bundle with a DVR by the same manufacturer.

Cons: Night vision is sub-par for my purposes. Too grainy. Can't identify faces except at a very close range (impractical since I would have had these hung up high).
colors are very pale and washed out, might as well be black and white, but overall I was not interested in their quality for daytime surveillance.

Other Thoughts: I'm returning this product because it does not serve my purpose and as part of returning the whole DVR bundle.

Pros: Very light sensitive, had to turn down the brightness in the DVR software to 8 to get a non washed out pic. They were very inexpensive, $80 black friday, so for what I paid, they're ok. Night vision is good, but the IR LEDS are visible as a red ring.

Cons: Very narrow field of view. Might as well be black and white, colors are very pale and washed out. Resolution at 400 lines is iffy, unless someone is very close to the cam (15-20 ft), recognizable faces is not possible.

Other Thoughts: Glad I got an 8 cam DVR and need to get 4 more cams will have to spend at least twice what these cost. My research has determined, you want 480-520 line Sony 1/3 inch Super Had cameras, to get some decent resolution.
