4 out of 5 eggsLoved it while it lasted

Pros: Good resolution. Saturated colors. Adjustable field of view. Hefty, solid build. Weatherproof. Affordable. Night vision pretty sharp with a little auxiliary lighting. Today's price is cheaper than when I bought it.

Cons: I got exactly the wide angle I wanted, but it took awhile to adjust. Lasted 18 months (I was hoping for a little longer life). Doesn't come with a power supply. Limited mounting options.

Other Thoughts: It had a much better image than the $200 cam I have pointing the opposite direction. I don't think you can go wrong if you set this one up. It was the equal to another camera costing twice as much. But they are still alive and this one is dead. Yet, it did the job and exceeded my expectations for an inexpensive camera...while it lasted. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3 because of how much I was delighted by it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood So Far

Pros: Solidly built, Very good wide angle field of view, Adjustable zoom and focus, Picture quality very good. Happy with the value for the price. Night vision is good.

Cons: Camera does not really come with what I would call a manual. Its a simple fold out they call a manual. Support could be better. It talks about being able to mount on the ceiling but will not adjust vertically to 90 degree angle. Would have to point to downward angle.

Other Thoughts: Its a very good camera for the money

1 out of 5 eggsNo Customer Service!

Pros: IR lights are good, price reasonable. Newegg has a good customer service that's for sure.

Cons: NO customer service or support from LTS
I have sent emails, but no replied.

Other Thoughts: personally, I don't think this is a good camera, compare the work i have to go through with their company for support, and this is my second time for replacement with them. I have brought s system along few of this cameras few turn out to be bad, even the price is reasonable but the among of time i have to spend is definitely not worth it. Specially for my business as an installer company.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks great for about 2 months, but its now no longer working. The design of the camera looks pretty professional, but thats about it. At least Newegg have a good customer service.

Cons: The camera quality last about 2 months, and now it ready for return. Night vision is poor, problem with the IR LEDs! I think this is not stable at night, during the day its okay!

Other Thoughts: I have recently installed a 8 camera system for a store. Everything seems to be working properly not till this month, the camera is no longer works. I have only installed this camera system 2 months ago. I am pretty disappointed in this camera! Now, I need to go back to my customer to explain, replace...etc.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb camera for the money

Pros: Very good detail, HUGE field of view at widest zoom setting; rugged, monsoon-proof enclosure; very powerful IR LED illuminator, excellent low-light performance, minimal DC current consumption, installer-friendly, excellent packing.

Cons: IR illumination is concentrated in center of image and not adjustable, vertical adjustment range of bracket is limited, silicone weather plugs for focus and zoom adjustments tend to fall out, color saturation is a tad weak.

Other Thoughts: So far, 4 of these have replaced the original cameras supplied with all-in-one DVR systems, with spectacular improvements in image quality and coverage area. When any small amount of external lighting is present, the night time B&W image is simply amazing - VERY sharp, with minimal noise. In daylight, the color saturation needs to be bumped up a bit to produce natural hues.

DC current consumption measures just 90 mA in daylight, or 260 mA in complete darkness - perfect for systems with a battery backup.

LTS includes a stick-on paper template for drilling the mounting holes, and spare silicone weather plugs - nice touches for the installer.

BOTTOM LINE - For the money, you'll look long and hard to find a better camera.

5 out of 5 eggsBest cameras for the price

Pros: good price, excellent sensor, excellent video, excellent night vision (super bright infrared reds). Heavy and sturdy construction, water resistant, glare shield, low amp consumption, varifocal, and full color.

Cons: The rubber caps to adjust the zoom and focus tend to get lost (they are small).

Other Thoughts: Disregard other reviews that say "they are too big". Although they do fail to mention dimensions, if you have installed cctv before, you know the aprox size. Disregard "no more than 500 tvl" it clearly states 480 lines. Disregard "no instructions", really? There are only 2 cables, one for power, one for video, I guess it's really challenging for some. Disregard "hard to zoom/focus". If you know what you are doing, you would get yourself a wrist camera, which is the proper tool to zoom and focus these cameras. Disregard all negative comments about these cameras, they are amateurs.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh Quality Camera

Pros: Great price and high quality camera, both the mount and the optics. Very wide angle vari-focal lens. Someone mentioned in a earlier review that the angle you see zoomed all the way out was about 160°. That was no exaggeration! It really is a very wide angle lens. The quality of the image during the day is superb. The resolution is 811x508 NTSC, higher than my DVR can handle @ 720x480. The camera I got was not the model listed but a much better one, LTS CMR613H with a 1/3" Sony Super HAD CCD. The wiring can be routed through the back of the mount (by default) and is inaccessible by vandals or routed through the black rubber plugs at the top and bottom of the mount. The focus and zoom functions are done by taking out the little white rubber plugs at the back of the camera (and yes they are hard to get back in, but that also makes it water proof) and using a small flat head screw driver. It can be difficult to do by yourself, but if you know someone with a cell phone, it's very easy.

Cons: The quality of the image at night is somewhat noisy (grainy). The IR LEDs do not give you 98 or 100 feet as the specs say. I'd say the distance it covers is more like 35-50 feet, and they're not very bright, certainly not enough light to identify someone. There are no identifying marks on the camera at all. The only markings on the camera are the little stickers that tell you which hole is the zoom and which is the focus. There was a sticker on the wiring, indicating what model it was and the serial number. When I got my camera, the lens was not centered correctly with the center ring on the outside of the housing. It was offset about 1/8" but that did not affect the performance of the camera at all. But it's not something I'd like to see again and I don't know how it got passed by the Q/A inspector at the manufacturer. When I called Newegg about it, they offered to send me another one immediately but I tested it and said that it was OK for me. 5 eggs to Newegg for that!

Other Thoughts: With some artificial lighting, this camera does give a good clarity image at night. I'd say as far as some good flood lights would light up, this camera could see it. 125-150 feet I'd guess, maybe more. This camera has been through some pretty bad storms, but it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I WILL be buying more cameras like this in the future!

4 out of 5 eggsVery good camera

Pros: Good price. Well built. Great clarity. Handles snow and rain well.

Cons: Putting those stoppers back in after taking them out for adusting angle and focus. Especially on a ladder with the camera already mounted.

Other Thoughts: A night and day difference between this camera and the cheap ones provided in those all in one security kits.
