LTS LTA1010 Video Converter / Video Balun ( 1 pair)

Pros: Allows use of Cat5/6 cable to connect a video connection uot to 1000' from camera to dvr or monitor.

Cons: I ordered 18 of these and had 2 that were out of box failures. I replaced them and they are working great now.

Pros: Works as expected. Extra options that I don't use like PTZ/Audio through. Amazing maximum range, 2000ft!!!

Cons: None yet.

Pros: --Over cat 5/5e or 6
--Better for longer runs with a decent power supply
--Good price for those on a budget (Mainly me)

Cons: Same as the others and only reason it does not get 5 eggs.
--Not waterproof
--No LED for power

Other Thoughts: Did not want to deal with running a fixed length or too long Siamese cable. Does what it says at a great price. I used CAT6 for a couple of 40ft runs and don't see any loss in video when used with cat6 and 540 HD cameras. Gonna order for more as I have an 8 channel DVR. If you have standard BNC connectors, there is no issue, power supplies have varying plug sizes, but these have he most common jack out there for 12vdc input

Pros: Simple, easy to use, and make snaking wire a lot easier. It is cheaper for the customer, and easier on me to install. RCA and coax are worthless. Using baluns enable you to use the cameras up top 1.5 miles away (with a good power supply).

Cons: A new lot i got had some resin on the outside of the metal connectors. they worked fine but it looks messy.

No indicator lights (but the price justifies it)

Not waterproof.

Other Thoughts: Disregard that teenager that said that the connectors "don't fit". They fit perfectly.

Pros: Cheap, uses CAT5/5e to provide power, video, and audio or ptz (can't have audio and ptz at the same time)

Cons: not waterproof, no lights to indicate signal or power

Other Thoughts: disregard the review about the connectors not fitting, they fit perfectly.

Pros: Cheaper than other places. These baluns fit my BNC connectors just fine.

Cons: These things are not waterproof!

Other Thoughts: I sealed them in an ABS enclosure to keep out the water and they have been running non-stop for about 4 months now.

Pros: None that I got to see

Cons: BNC connectors would not fit other BNC. Tried on various BNC fittings on different cameras, connectors, etc. Nothing. Nada. Comparing to a known working BNC fitting, it appears that the center pin diameter is too thick.

Other Thoughts: Never got to test to see if these work well or not as I couldn't plug the BNC connector into anything.
