5 out of 5 eggsreliable and easy to use

Pros: web based configuration,
lots of features,
reliable -- never needs to be rebooted

Cons: only 640x480

Other Thoughts: I've used 10 of these cameras over the last year, and have been very pleased with their reliability.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome camera with DVR

Pros: Wanted to put a surveillance camera in our living room that recorded to an on-board microSD card. Bought a cheaper one that I returned almost immediately because the software sucked. Then I bought this one, and when I received it, I realized that I already had the same camera installed in our baby room. We've loved that camera-- very stable, and great night vision. So, I was happy to discover that I had bought the same one, just in a different color. Plugged in the microSD card, and it's working perfectly.

Cons: My only advice is that they do a better job of branding. I knew that I loved the camera in our baby's room, but I couldn't track down the manufacturer. (I don't think "LTS" is printed anywhere on the camera, and "Network Camera" isn't a distinguishing name.)

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I might have some if I can get some instructions to install it on my mac

Cons: Even though some of the reviews states that this product works great with the Mac, I only see directions for PC. I will follow up with customer service to see if I can get this product running

3 out of 5 eggsRadio is low quality

Pros: cheap, integrated web server and NAS storage

Cons: 802.11G radio is low quality, slows down whole LAN when viewing locally

Other Thoughts: 2 bars when camera is 15 ft away from router with clear line of site. slow when using internal radio, bogs down whole local network. in wired mode it works like a dream.
My suggestion is to buy the camera then buy a used linksys router that will run DDWRT off of Craigslist. Set the camera to wired and router to client bridge and use the routers radio instead.

4 out of 5 eggsGood camera

Pros: Good night vision
Well made
Easy set up

Cons: Color balance

Other Thoughts: Pretty easy to set up in Windows. If you want a traditional web address to view the camera on the web and if you have a dynamic IP address, you will need to select and set up DNS. The first choice in the drop down box is free and works but there is little guidance. The second drop down has better tutorials. Most importantly, you need to go into your router set and allow port forwarding for most likely port 80 to the IP address for the camers that is assigned at set up.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: Good night vision
Good sound
Decent general picture
Decent manual
Motion detection with email forwarding
Remote viewing

Cons: Setting up remote viewing requires knowledge not discussed in the manual

Other Thoughts: If you want remote viewing and do not have a static IP address which is often the case, you need to set up port forwarding on your router as well as establish a DNS service to keep track of your changing IP address. while the first DNS service on the camera setup drop down box works, the second choice has more tutorials for the novice.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!!!

Pros: SD CARD! alarms, video recording, awesome night vision, works over my cell phone! WIFI and WIRED. has motion jpg, rtsp, and 3gp views for bandwidth

Cons: to setup wifi you first have to be on ethernet, no biggy , a fingerprint on the big plastic lens can really cause ghosting in night vision, clean your lens! otherwise its perfect

Other Thoughts: the mount is tricky to get on a wall, but it is good.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat WiFi Security Camera

Pros: The camera has more IR diodes than so many of the others out there. The software is fully featured. No bugs, reboots, glitches. It works very well when you get it configured properly. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase and features.

Cons: Picture quality could be a little better. I found absolutely no support on the website and very little on Google. Configuring the camera took a few hours of trial and error with both router and camera settings to access outside the LAN.

Other Thoughts: I wish newegg had an easy way to separate the wireless non- IP network from the wireless IP network cameras.

4 out of 5 eggsno WPA2 AES PSK support

Pros: I have the following 16 GB micro SDHC card working in one of these

For me, 8GB holds 1 month and 16GB holds 2 months of video without overwrites...roughly.

Cons: After testing with shipped firmware and that from y cam, I can confirm there is no WPA2 AES PSK support. Instead, I changed it to WPA AES and isolated to a vLAN with another wlan.

Motion detection is difficult to tune.

Other Thoughts: Be careful with y cam firmware, there are three similar y cam variations and only the 3.x series will work. 4.x series firmware is for a different y cam.

Overall a very good value.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Camera

Pros: Came with everything necessary to set up and install this camera as a baby monitor! It is a good price compared to similar products made by other manufacturers. The metal bracket mount is decently sturdy and easy to hook the camera up to. Wireless is a great addition to this camera. The night vision is acceptable. It has an Internet Browser type of viewing system based upon i.p. address. You can zoom into an area of the screen with a click of the mouse which is nice. This camera is stationary but the company does make panning cameras. I want another one for my front porch :)

Cons: The picture is slightly purple and I do mean slightly as in hardly noticeable.

Other Thoughts: Someone needs to invent a practical wireless power so I don't have to plug it in at all.
